After learning of the news, Beckham made it clear he was thrilled to be recognized as one of the league's elite players, per Michael Eisen of Giants.com:

"

It is definitely awesome. It is something that means a lot to me, and I am definitely going to cherish the moment. I'm very excited to be going to the Pro Bowl.

The goal (entering the season) is to be either in the Pro Bowl or the Super Bowl. That is every year. That is something you want to be able to build on and put that on your resume. (We) didn't end up making it to the Super Bowl, but I did get the invite to the Pro Bowl, so I am very excited and blessed for the opportunity.

"

Despite missing the first four games of the season with a hamstring injury, the No. 12 selection in the 2014 draft finished 2014 with 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns as he became quarterback Eli Manning's favorite target in the absence of Victor Cruz.

Beckham has a flair for the spectacular, and NFL on ESPN is hopeful that will translate to the Pro Bowl:

It is difficult to fathom Beckham getting even better than he already is, but he has plans in place to improve over the offseason, as he said in a segment with Bleacher Report Uninterrupted.

Before he can focus on that, though, Beckham will look to make a huge impression in the Pro Bowl. Based on what he accomplished in his rookie season, it is safe to assume that he will do precisely that.
