South Africa vs. West Indies 2014, 2nd Test, Day 5: Scorecard, Report, Reaction
Heavy rain overnight prevented any possibility of play on the final day of the second Test between South Africa and West Indies in Port Elizabeth, and a draw was eventually called, per ESPN's Firdose Moonda:
A severely weather-affected match had seen flashes of competitive play. Four centuries were scored, and the tourists reached 275-9 in response to South Africa's first-innings 417-8 declared.

The Proteas had been targeting a win ahead of the day's play, with Morne Morkel outlining on Monday that it was still a possibility, per Moonda: "If we bat quickly—and we have guys like AB (de Villiers) who can score runs quickly—and we have enough overs, we can still win. It's never nice to have to survive 50 or 60 overs."
However, while the umpires looked to get play going on Tuesday with regular pitch inspections, the waterlogged nature of the outfield made the prospect of any cricket impossible.
West Indies' 22-year-old opener, Kraigg Brathwaite, was named man of the match, per ICC, his impressive 106 having brought his side into the match—along with Marlon Samuels' 101—after tons from Dean Elgar and Faf Du Plessis in South Africa's opening innings:
The hosts won the first Test of the three-match series convincingly, and the final encounter begins in Cape Town on Friday, Jan. 2, with the West Indies looking to gain parity.
