Barcelona Transfer News: Martin Odegaard Offer Reported, Latest Camp Nou Rumours
Barcelona have reportedly offered Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard a contract to join the Camp Nou outfit after the 16-year-old spent some time training with the club last week.
The Catalan giants are unable to conduct any transfer business until January 2016 due to a FIFA ban but have supposedly offered attacking midfielder Odegaard the opportunity to join them when the restrictions are lifted, per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t Inside Spanish Football).
Odegaard has drawn the eye of many and has recently been visiting Europe's major clubs for training—including Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Ajax—with a view to making a potential switch in the future.

He currently plies his trade for Stromsgodset IF in the Norwegian Tippeligaen, and Barca's offer would reportedly see him remain in Norway until January 2016 before spending a season with Barcelona B ahead of joining the first team.
It seemingly sounds like a very sensible offer as it would allow Odegaard more time to develop in his home league and perhaps relieve the massive pressure of expectation on him, per sports writer Lawrence Donegan:
However, he will no doubt be tempted with a variety of other offers from big clubs as he can now officially sign a professional contract, having turned 16 on Dec. 17.
Barcelona have a history of developing talented youth very effectively, and no doubt, Luis Enrique would be eager to add Odegaard to his side as he looks to the future of the club.
Barca are also reportedly in pole position to sign another young star, Corinthians forward Malcom. Though only 17 years old, the Brazilian has already tied down a regular spot in the Corinthians first team and is seen as a terrific prospect.

According to the Daily Mirror's John Cross, Barcelona are believed to have first option on the talented teenager, but they may face competition from Chelsea.
Barcelona are clearly—and quite rightly—looking to invest in the future of their club, which already looks in good hands, as proved with the Camp Nou side's recent 8-1 Copa del Rey victory over Huesca, largely inspired by the club's youngsters.
The addition of one or both of Odegaard and Malcom would add further raw quality with the pair potentially set for great things in the future.
