Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours Surrounding Marco Reus and Gareth Bale
Carlo Ancelotti's attack force could see a change in its ranks next summer, as reports suggest deals which will see Marco Reus and Gareth Bale move in and out of the club, respectively, are gathering pace.
According to Marc Williams of the Daily Star, Reus has now agreed the move, which will see him join Los Merengues for a fee of £20 million next summer:
"Now the lure of Spain, Madrid's recent success and the promise of a lucrative five-year-deal has seemingly made Reus' mind up. According to reports in Spain, Reus has agreed a deal with the Champions League holders, effectively ending any hopes in the player coming to English football.
The Germany international has been in good form despite Dortmund's woeful season in the Bundesliga and is certainly willing to move at the end of the season.

It's well-founded that the German international has a release clause in his contract which will see his price fall to just £20 million in six months, and Real are in pole position to capitalise.
As Williams suggests, it's likely that Dortmund's fall from grace this season will play its part in making the forward's mind up. The 2013 Champions League finalists are currently 17th in the Bundesliga, only beating bottom side Freiburg on goal difference.

Jurgen Klopp has managed to keep hold of his elite talents in recent seasons thanks to Dortmund's consistent challenge on major titles, but faith may understandably wane in light of recent failures.
Ex-Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes was quoted by Sky's Dirk Grosse, via Norwegian pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, as saying Reus should head to the Spanish capital:
Real would be in a better position to hand Reus a lucrative deal than Dortmund would and the title prospects in sight for Ancelotti's side are merely another reason to make the switch.
However, Real could stand to pocket a handsome profit from the deal if they choose to sell Bale in Reus' place, with John Richardson of the Daily Express reporting the Welshman is interested in a move to Old Trafford.

Richardson details that the Glazer family wish to make substantial investments in the squad if they're to reach their hopeful selling price of £3 billion, with Bale seen as a potential value-boosting asset.
The 25-year-old recently added to his Madrid trophy cabinet after winning the FIFA Club World Cup this weekend. Bale netted in a 2-0 win over Argentina's San Lorenzo, tweeting in the aftermath:
With that, the winger would seem all but too content to remain in his current setting. However, should United be willing to stump up £80 million, his sale could be extremely advantageous for Real in a financial sense.
Reus offers a similar presence to Bale in terms of position and overall quality, but at just £20 million, the club may jump at the chance to swap one star for another for just a quarter of the sum.

Richardson goes on to say that Bale's family would be open to the idea of a Premier League comeback, United having previously outbid Real for his services in 2013, only to be beaten in the race anyway.
Even with so much success at the Bernabeu, the revolving doors at Real may yet see Bale swing through once again, this time bound for a giant who has long held belief in his talent.
