Manchester City Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of December 8
With January just three weeks away and Manchester City facing something of an injury crisis, speculation regarding comings and, to a certain extent, goings at the Etihad is likely to reach new heights in the coming days.
Manuel Pellegrini's men find themselves just three points off the top of the Premier League table after their win over Everton on Saturday and now travel to Rome for their crucial Champions League match with Roma.
Their season is gathering momentum, and if a deals within City's budget can be struck, it would hardly be a surprise if one or two players came in to boost their chances of silverware.
Here we take a look at all the gossip finding its way into the newspapers.
Chelsea Enter Race for Marco Reus

City's long-term pursuit of Marco Reus has just become a little more complicated, with Jose Mourinho deciding Chelsea should enter the race for his signature, according to Charles Perrin writing in the Express.
Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga troubles this season—which have seen them loitering in and around the relegation zone, having won just four of their 14 matches—have surely increased the possibility of a move.
But with a buyout clause of just under £20 million, there is plenty of interest in the winger, and Chelsea have added their name to the list of potential suitors.
Arsenal Could Make Layvin Kurzawa a Target

Perrin also believes City's pursuit of Layvin Kurzawa, the Monaco left-back, has also been complicated, after Arsenal's decision to compete for his signing.
The 22-year-old has become a wanted man after some impressive performances in Ligue 1, with City thought to be very interested in light of their struggles at left-back.
Manchester United are also believed to have shown interest but are unwilling to pay more than £12 million for the player.
