Under Armour All-America Game 2015: Date, TV Schedule, Rosters and More
While many of the announcements were already made throughout the 2014 season, Thursday marked a special day for the nation's best football recruits as the rosters for the 2014 Under Armour All-America Game were unveiled.
The yearly All-Star game has become a showcase for many and an all-important day for others, as some players use the national stage to declare their collegiate intentions. Last season, top running back Leonard Fournette committed to LSU, and there will undoubtedly be a few who follow in his footsteps.
Birthed in 2008, the Under Armour game has offered national audiences their first glimpse at future NFL stars. A.J. Green, Julio Jones and Jadeveon Clowney are just a few of the current pro stars who previously attended the game, held annually at Tropicana Field.
Within high school recruiting circles, the days leading up to the event have become a bonanza in and of themselves. American Family Insurance branded a "selection tour" that slowly unveils the players selected, each coming with his own individual press conference.
With the rosters announced, let's take a look at how the two rosters play out.

Top Prospects Selected
CB Iman Marshall (No. 3 Overall Prospect, No. 1 Cornerback)

Most expect it's only a matter of time before Marshall officially commits to USC. 247Sports' Crystal Ball predictions give the Trojans a 100 percent chance of landing the nation's best corner, which should be telling given 41 analysts offered their thoughts.
The logic lines up. Marshall is a product of Long Beach Poly in California, and USC's national reputation is on the way up thanks to Steve Sarkisian replacing the near-toxic Lane Kiffin. An official visit to Oklahoma this weekend could change things, and Florida State's continued standing among the nation's best makes the Seminoles a strong candidate with every offer.
But odds are sometime between now and national signing day, Marshall will affirm his commitment to stay in his home state. The 6'1", 190-pound corner is one of the most polished players in his entire class. He possesses upperclassman-level ball skills and has strong fast-twitch movement, which makes up for his lack of elite speed.
With no set date for his decision, it's possible Marshall decides the Under Armour game is the perfect platform.
DE Byron Cowart (No. 4 Overall Prospect, No. 1 Strong-Side Defensive End)

There is no feeling of inevitability with Cowart. The nation's top strong-side defensive end was given an 80 percent chance of signing with Florida by 247Sports' Crystal Ball predictions, but nearly everything with the Gators program is up for grabs. New head coach Jim McElwain, per Chris Low of ESPN.com, will have to work and do so quickly to keep the recruits Will Muschamp already had around.
For the ones he didn't, like the undecided Cowart, upheaval at Florida may create a new favorite. Florida State has long been seen as second in the running for the Armwood High School product. The Seminoles were given a 13 percent chance in the Crystal Ball, but that may be quite a bit higher after last weekend.
Cowart was on-hand for an unofficial visit last weekend in Tallahassee, where he watched the Seminoles defeat Florida in Muschamp's final game. He told Nick Williams of the The Tampa Tribune that Florida State has an edge at the moment, though Florida is still in the running.
"I’m still interested. Obviously, a little more interested in Florida State, but I always knew that this could happen and I always have a backup plan," Cowart said. "At the end of the day, I am going to college for my major and not really football. Journalism, Florida is really strong in that. (I want to major in) sports broadcasting, hopefully be on Game Day one day.”
The 6'4", 250-pound defensive end said he'll make his announcement at the Under Armour Game if he has a school in place. If not, he'll wait until national signing day.
DE Josh Sweat (No. 6 Overall Prospect, No. 1 Weak-Side Defensive End)

Another defensive player? What can I say, they've been especially wishy washy this year. Sweat spent a large part of the 2014 season as the top overall recruit in the nation before falling to No. 6 on more recent updates.
A pass-rushing maven, Sweat's recruitment is also almost completely up in the air. Virginia Tech and Florida State are seen as the two favorites, but he also went on official visits to Georgia and Ohio State. The Hokies, who have the advantage of residing near Sweat's Chesapeake, Virginia, home, received the final visit over the holiday weekend.
Gerry Hamilton of ESPN noted Sweat has Dec. 10 earmarked for a decision, so he'll already have a school in place by the time he makes the trip to Florida. This falls in line with expectations because Sweat will enroll at whatever university he chooses in January, hoping to get a leg up going into spring practice.
Sweat would be a massive boon for Virginia Tech, which has floundered in recent seasons under Frank Beamer. The Hokies have not won more than eight regular-season games since 2011 and have fallen off the national radar after a long stretch of BCS bowl contention. Adding someone like Sweat would be a major boost as Beamer heads into an uncertain future.
If he chooses Florida State? And then Cowart chooses Florida State? [Ships the next four ACC championships directly to Tallahassee, does not pass Go, does not collect $200].
(Note: Sweat will not participate in the game due to an injury.)
