Real Madrid Transfer News: Marco Reus Rumours Rubbished by Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have poured cold water on the rumours that Real Madrid have first refusal on their talented winger, Marco Reus.
Mark Doyle of Goal.com quotes BVB director Hans-Joachim Watzke speaking to Bild about the possibility of a deal with the Galacticos, saying there is no truth that Reus is heading to the Spanish capital, at present:
"It's complete rubbish that there is any kind of right of first refusal [for Madrid] Marco alone will decide where he will go. What would we do if he activated his clause?

Reus recently distanced himself from a quick exit from Dortmund—who have suffered a horrendous start to their Bundesliga campaign.
The player said to Sport Bild he is only focusing on getting back onto the pitch after his recent injury, per Doyle:
"I'm now putting everything I have into my rehabilitation. You can disregard everything else! In the circumstances, things are going well. I have daily treatment and plan to be back on the field in January. I am once again focused on my comeback.
"

The flying German has been central to Jurgen Klopp's success story in the Bundesliga in recent years, with the attacker scoring 30 times in the league since the 2012 campaign, per WhoScored.com, whilst also grabbing 22 assists.
But the player was robbed by injury of an appearance for his country at the past summer's World Cup—as the Germans once again became world champions.
Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti recently spoke about Reus and openly praised the player, as highlighted by Bleacher Report's Clark Whitney:

However, Reus' agent has also been vocal to dispel any move for his player after reports suggested Reus might be on his way to Bayern Munich. Dirk Hebel told football magazine Kicker that Reus had no agreement in place with the Bavarian super-club, as reported by Stephan Uersfeld of ESPN FC:
"There is no topic of Marco Reus and FC Bayern Munich, and there are no talks."
Of course, once Reus does come on to the market there will be an almighty scramble from the world's top clubs to capture his signature.

Watzke's words that the player "will decide" where he goes sound ominous and hint he could be on his way sooner rather than later.
Dortmund's fall from grace could well expedite his exit from Klopp's camp and BVB have a strong tradition as a selling club in recent seasons. The player's injury record might also see him not achieve his top value as a transfer would come with tangible risk.
However, it will not be a surprise to see Reus become Ancelotti's next German Galactico. He has all the attributes to succeed for Madrid and would fit into the team's high-paced counter-attacking style.
And with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo teaming up alongside Reus—the trophies would surely flow.
