Leicester Call in Stick-Wielding Buddhist Monks to Help Them Beat Liverpool
Leicester City have not won in eight games, but they have called in some special help to end that record against Liverpool on Tuesday night—stick-wielding Buddhist monks!
It sounds ridiculous, but the last time the monks blessed the players, the team enjoyed a famous 5-3 win over Manchester United.
The monks do not just provide a sense of calm, though; in fact, it's pretty much the opposite. They hit the players as hard as they can with sticks.

As striker Jamie Vardy told the Daily Mail: "They come with little sticks, dip them in holy water and then slap you over the head as hard as they can. Before the United game it was like I’d had a bath — heads, shoulders, legs. It worked though, didn’t it! They need to come back more often.
The monks were first brought in to the club by the Foxes' Thai owners, but if Leicester manage to pull off another surprising win on Tuesday night, there might be a few more Premier League sides looking for some "good karma" from the monks in the future.
