Belarus vs. Mexico: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview
Mexico are back in international football action on Tuesday, as they travel to Belarus for a friendly.
Miguel Herrera’s side have been in impressive form since their elimination from World Cup 2014 and are now looking to close out 2014 on a positive note.
However, Belarus aren’t the kind of side to just lie down, which means it’s all set to be an entertaining encounter in Borisov.

Mexico Looking for Five Wins on the Spin

When Mexico were knocked out of the World Cup at the hands of the Dutch in dramatic fashion, the football world breathed a collective sigh of sympathy.
The Mexicans were absolutely outstanding all tournament and would have been celebrating a place in the quarter-finals were it not for a couple of lapses in concentration.
However, while some expected Herrera’s men to falter after major-tournament heartbreak, they’ve simply kicked on and found another gear.

As SoccerWay’s statistics reveal, Mexico have won their last four matches on the spin, with their 3-2 triumph over the Netherlands on 12 November a highlight of their recent brilliance.
The biggest story of the night was the return of Carlos Vela to the international fold for the first time since 2010, and he proved to be worth the wait as he chipped in with a brace—something that journalist Alexi Lalas reflected upon:
Javier Hernandez added the third goal, and while Wesley Sneijder and Daley Blind got on the scoresheet for the hosts, it was a well-deserved victory for Mexico.
The performances from all 11 players are likely to warrant repeat selections from Herrera, and it’s safe to say that Vela will be the first name on the teamsheet.

Together with Hernandez, the former Arsenal man looked incredibly dangerous all game, drawing praise from Chicharito after the match—via ESPN FC:
"Carlos is a great player and he made it to the national team to provide all that he has. We've all seen him as the teammate we've always had. And we know he is going to continue to provide those benefits to the national team. So now the issue is not for us, the challenge is for Miguel [Herrera]. The problem is for him because we are offering our best effort and our desire to be starters in all the matches. All that effort benefits the national team.
"

The duo will need to be on top of their form once again for the visit to Belarus, who will make Mexico earn any result that they take away from Borisov.
Caretaker coach Andrei Zygmantovich's side had the formidable task of facing Spain in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign on Saturday, and, expectedly, they went down 3-0.
However, the way that Belarus defended at times was admirable, and although they’re a class below the Mexicans, they’re guaranteed to give it a real go in front of their home fans.

Together with their brick-wall defence, Belarus have players who can cause damage on the counter-attack, and if Mexico aren’t decisive in front of goal, the hosts may well take advantage.
However, that’s a big "if," as the Mexicans have the kind of front line that can do damage to any defensive set-up, and you have to fancy them to be at their fruitful best once again.
Prediction: Belarus 1-3 Mexico
