5 Bold Predictions for the Chicago Bears' Week 11 Matchup
Have you bailed on the Chicago Bears' season yet? Things may look bleak, but on the bright side, the Bears haven't been officially eliminated from any playoff race yet.
Bold predictions come true could mark the beginning of a comeback.
"So you're telling me there's a chance," goes the famous quote from Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber. It's likely the Bears won't participate in the postseason, but a win against the Minnesota Vikings would keep them alive.
When you are 3-6, pressure eases up because expectations are gone. The Bears might play looser and get some contributions from young players like Kyle Fuller. A great game from him is just one of the bold predictions this week.

The Bears Will Start Fast and Furiously
1 of 5
It's been a virtual embarrassment for the Bears over the past few games. There's no way they can come out at home against the Vikings and lay another egg, right?
The Bears are going to start hot. At this point, there's no pressure and all expectations are out the window. They are playing for pride and against an inferior opponent compared to the last few games.
Not to take anything away from the Vikings, because they are a solid team, but the Bears offense will wake up. They will have 10-14 points after the first quarter.
When was the last time you saw that?
The Defense Will Struggle to Contain Teddy Bridgewater
2 of 5
All season, the Bears have struggled to contain mobile quarterbacks. They have been torched due to their lack of discipline and basic, vanilla defense.
Going against first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater could prove to be another problem for the Bears. Bridgewater hasn't exactly shown his running skills yet this year due in large part due to an ankle injury, but you have to figure the Vikings will implement them into this week's game plan.
It would be foolish for Minnesota to not get Bridgewater out on the edge and even run some zone read. He will have his best rushing game against the Bears and carve them up through the air as well.
Marshall and Jeffery Will Each Go over 100 Yards
3 of 5
Last week's blowout did have one silver lining: Both Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall went over 100 receiving yards each for only the second time this season.
Both were heavily targeted as the game increasingly got out of hand and the Packers laid back in the second half.
This week, the two will receive a ton of targets in a closer game.
If the Bears are going to go down, they might as well do it swinging. Marshall and Jeffery will continue to see over 10 targets a game as Jay Cutler probably doesn't care at this point.
The two will have at least six catches apiece for over 100 yards. Hey, at least that's good news for your fantasy team.
Kyle Fuller Will Reach the End Zone
4 of 5
One thing that tends to happen when a team's season gets out of hand is the emergence of young players.
Once the pressure is off, young guys can go out and just play football without a care in the world. Jon Bostic, Shea McClellin, Brock Vereen and Kyle Fuller should all be better in the season's remaining garbage time.
Look for Fuller to get going again this weekend. He will commit rookie-on-rookie crime as he gets Teddy Bridgewater for a pick and takes it all the way to the house.
The Bears Will Win in a Blowout
5 of 5
The Bears aren't a good football team, but they will do just enough for the rest of the season to tease you while hovering around mediocrity.
You might want them to tank for a good draft pick, but it won't happen. This team is destined to be 7-9, and that's going to anger the fans more than anything.
If you want them to win four or five games this year and clean house, it's not going to happen. The road to slightly below average begins this week with a blowout win against the Vikings. Minnesota going to move the football and score some points, but it won't be nearly enough.
This Bears offense will have its biggest game of the year.
Matt Forte will have a huge game on the ground and in the air as the Bears win by at least two touchdowns. I know, it's very frustrating to live in football purgatory.
