St. Louis Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals: Live Score and Analysis for Arizona
The game was in doubt midway through the fourth quarter, and then starting quarterback Carson Palmer went down with a left knee injury. The Arizona Cardinals turned it on, scoring three unanswered touchdowns to pull away from the St. Louis Rams and win, 31-14, but the story of this game will be the health of Palmer.
As you can see below, Albert Breer of NFL.com has reported the Cardinals fear Palmer tore the ACL in that knee, which is the same one he had surgically repaired after the 2005 season.
The Cardinals (8-1) did not have much going for them offensively until one great drive following the Palmer injury, and then Todd Bowles' defense took over. Patrick Peterson picked off his first two passes of the season, and rookie defensive end Kareem Martin sacked quarterback Austin Davis—stripping the ball in the process, which Antonio Cromartie picked up and ran into the end zone.
