Sharp Suffers Leg Injury
Chicago Blackhawks left winger Patrick Sharp sustained a leg injury during the team's 5-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.
Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports noted the injury during the game:
Sharp, 32, has been one of the most consistent players for the Blackhawks throughout his 10-year stay with the team. Coming over from the Philadelphia Flyers in 2005-06, Sharp has scored 60 or more points in five seasons.
Last year, Sharp was on the ice for 82 games and had a career-high 78 points for Chicago.
Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune offered more information on his status:
John Lu of TSN Montreal provides a potential timetable from head coach Joel Quenneville:
Currently at 7-5-1, Chicago now has a three-game stretch at home starting with contests against the Washington Capitals and San Jose Sharks on Friday and Sunday, respectively. Not having Sharp on the ice for either of those games would be a huge blow for the team against two quality opponents.
