Park Sung-bin Becomes Youngest Korean Gold Medalist in Asian Games History

Most 13-year-olds would have been in school or playing with their friends on Tuesday, but Park Sung-bin isn't like most teenagers. Instead, he became the youngest gold medalist in Korea's history, winning the men's optimist (one person) dinghy.
Arirang News congratulated the athlete:
The youngster was consistently excellent over the course of 11 races, recording just 16 penalties and taking top honours in the final race to cap off a fantastic performance.
With 27 points from 12 races, Park holds a 20-point lead over second-placed Raynn Kwok, and if it weren't for a disqualification in Race 7 (resulting in 11 points), his final score would be even more impressive.
Yoshihito Nishioka Wins Japan's First Men's Single Tennis Gold in 40 Years

Yoshihito Nishioka, the No. 168 in the world, defeated the much-favoured Lu Yen-hsun in straight sets to deliver Japan its first men's single tennis gold in four decades, winning 6-2, 6-2.
The 19-year-old is only in his first year on the ATP circuit, and Tuesday's win was undoubtedly the biggest of his young career. Taking full advantage of Lu's inconsistent play, Nishioka broke the serve of his opponent in the first game of the second set (thanks to two double faults), and the match was over from that point.
As reported by Agence France-Presse (for NDTV Sport), the youngster was over the moon with his victory:
"This is hard to believe, I have not had a better day in tennis. My aim is to get into the top 100 as soon as possible. I wanted it to happen this year itself. But I am very happy today."
Winning an Asian Games gold medal at the young age of 19 is an incredible feat, and one that will surely power him to an excellent second season on the ATP tour.
Sarita Devi Eliminated After Controversial Semi-Final Bout

India have launched an official complaint with the Amateur International Boxing Association after Sarita Devi lost a controversial semi-final bout against Korea's Park Jina in the women's lightweight (57-60kg) boxing tournament.
The Indian athlete appeared to dominate her opponent with a significant advantage in power punches, but the judges scored the fight in favour of the local favourite. NDTV's Soumitra Bose did not agree with the scorecards at all:
The opening two rounds appeared to be fairly evenly matched before Devi started taking control of the fight, silencing the crowd with an impressive display in the final two rounds.
Speaking to Shubhodeep Chakravarty of NDTV, fellow Indian boxer Mary Kom didn't mince her words: "Of course she (Park) won because she is Korean."
Even the Korean crowd showered the judges with boos when two of them scored the fight in favour of Park. Devi's husband unleashed a tirade and was involved in a scuffle with security guards, and following India's official complaint to the AIBA, we're likely yet to hear the last of this story.
