Titans vs. Colts: Twitter Reaction and Full Postgame Quotes

Kyle J. RodriguezSep 28, 2014

God bless the AFC South.

The Indianapolis Colts got back to .500 on Sunday with a 41-17 win over the Tennessee Titans, dominating their second consecutive AFC South opponent. The Colts were the beneficiaries of unforced turnovers on defense, while the offense rolled, with Andrew Luck throwing for 393 yards and four touchdowns.

Much like Week 3, it's difficult to take much from beating up on a bad team, but we can point to a few keys from the game.

Cory Redding was fantastic throughout the game, for the second game in a row. Redding continues to remind us that he is the best member of Indy's front seven, outside of Robert Mathis.

Redding finished with multiple stops in the run game, a sack and had the most disruptive day for any Colts defender.

Ryan Grigson has gotten plenty of flak for the moves he's made as a general manager, but signing Redding in 2012 has worked out perfectly.

Indianapolis' coaches continued their aggressive trend against the Titans, allowing Andrew Luck to throw the ball 41 times and including many more downfield shots than in the first two weeks.

Gone are the wide-receiver screens that stagnated the offense in the first two weeks, Donte Moncrief continues to receive more snaps, and T.Y. Hilton has continued to be a bigger part of the offensive game plan.

The Colts even succeeded with a surprise onside kick in the first half, an astounding move from Pagano and Co. If the Colts' coaching continues to be this strong, the sky is the limit.

Reggie Wayne is back, and it's a beautiful thing.

Wayne finished with seven catches, 119 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.

After a year without Wayne, Luck is in the sweet spot where he trusts Wayne but isn't not forcing him the ball unnecessarily. As a result, Luck is putting up league-leading numbers, and the Colts offense is rolling.

Quotes

How much does Luck love Wayne? He knows how beneficial having him healthy is, not only for his production but for his leadership in the locker room and how he opens up the field for others.

McAfee was phenomenal again Sunday and has been one of the league's best to start the season. He should be in the Pro Bowl, if not in All-Pro consideration.

There's always room for improvement, and it's good that Pagano is harping on penalties. The Colts have been disciplined for most of his tenure, and it would be surprising if they continued to be hit with penalties as the season goes on.
