Sven Goran Eriksson To Be Snapped Up by Cash Rich Notts County
Sven Goran Eriksson, who has previously managed Manchester City, SL Benfica, SS Lazio, England, and Mexico, is set to be appointed as Director of Football of English League Two club Notts County.
The Swede has been eyeing up a return to the English game since being sacked as manager of Mexico in March this year, following a rather unsuccessful 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign.
And now, it seems his return to England will come in the surprising of places, having previously been linked this summer to replace Paul Hart down at Premier League side Portsmouth.

Eriksson's appointment on the Notts County board is surprising, considering the club are down in the fourth tier of English football, the Coca Cola League Two, and considering the fact that the club only just avoided relegation last season.
But it becomes slightly less of a shock when the name Munto Finance Ltd appears.
The Middle Eastern consortium recently completed a takeover of the club, and with big funds in the bank, the new owners are clearly rather ambitious, having set their sights on taking County up to the Championship in five years.
It is believed that current manager Ian McParland will stay in his role, and that should Notts County not be able to attract Eriksson, there are other big names in the pipeline for the role of Director of Football.
BBC Radio Nottingham reporter, Chris Slater, said: "My understanding is that Eriksson is not the first high-profile personality to be linked with the newly created post as Director of Football.
"Former England manager Glenn Hoddle has also been in the frame."
