The All-Pro Fantasy Football Lineup for 2009
Fantasy Football is finally here!
I have already decided my team name for my brother's annual Fantasy Football League. I have already composed a lot of rankings and depth charts that I will use in my upcoming drafts. Here is what, in my opinion, would be the All-Pro fantasy football lineup.
QB: Tom Brady (New England Patriots)

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tom Brady is the best quarterback in this decade and in this era of the NFL. He did suffer a season-ending ACL injury during the team's first game last year, but reports have been saying that Brady is back and he is healthy.
I know this is a very controversial pick by picking a quarterback who is recovering from an ACL tear, but you know what? It's Tom Brady.
Three-time Super Bowl Ccampion, two-time Super Bowl MVP, 2007 MVP, and he led the Pats to a 16-0 regular season before his injury. The Patriots have added Joey Galloway and Fred Taylor to their already stacked offense, which includes All-Pros Randy Moss and Wes Welker.
Look for Brady to come back in a splash and put up some big numbers! Guaranteed.
WR # 1:Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals)
After leading the previously lowly Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl, you would expect even more attention being paid to Fitzgerald. Doubling covering Fitzgerald could be potentially dangerous due to Boldin being on the other side of the field, so I doubt you will see too much of a decrease in stats from Fitz.
Fitzgerald put up some huge numbers last year (96 REC, 1431 YDS and a career-high 12 TD). You should expect the same out of him this year, and he would be a reliable pick out of the very inconsistent WR position.
WR#2: Wes Welker (New England Patriots)
I think this might be a shocker to you readers, but you all need to understand that the WR position is VERY inconsistent in fantasy football. I believe that Welker can put up huge numbers any week, and if he doesn't he puts up some pretty decent numbers.
The Patriots use him in the slot, which means he can be an option to the Patriot's "running game" (short passing) and will be able to find opens in between linebackers.
The speedy All-Pro will benefit greatly from the acquisition of Joey Galloway because it just takes more attention off of Welker because of the two deep threats that Moss and Galloway cause.
Welker might not put up too many TDs, but he will get a lot of touches and yards accumulated. Last year, Welker had 111 receptions and 1165 yards.
RB#1: Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings)
I don't know why I should explain this pick. Most fantasy leagues are RB oriented so that would make Peterson the best player in the NFL.
AP led the league in rushing wit,h 1760 and averaged a league-best 110 yards per game. Although Peterson only had 10 TDs, but I believe that all he can do is improve. Peterson hasn't even entered the prime of his career so chances are that his numbers can improve.
If the Vikings can acquire future Hall-of-Famer QB Brett Favre, then all that can do is help AP. It would take a tremendous amount of pressure off of his back and which would take a few touches a game away, but would open up an even more explosive Peterson.
Look for Peterson to have one of the most remembered NFL seasons for a RB.
RB#2: Matt Forte (Chicago Bears)
Matt Forte you ask? Yeah, the second-year man was seventh in the league in rushing last year (1238) and had eight TDs.
The Bears made a huge splash this offseason by acquiring QB Jay Cutler, and that means you will see some pressure taken off of the young Forte. This will hopefully take the spotlight off of him and can open up a huge opportunity for him to blossom into one of the next great running backs.
Tight End: Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys)
For about the past five years, San Diego Charger Antonio Gates has been the go-to guy for the tight end position. Now it's time for Witten to step up and take on that role.
Witten was just shy of the century mark last year with 952 yards receiving and scored a decent 4 TDs.
Now that Terrell Owens has left Dallas, you should see Witten becoming the most probable target for QB Tony Romo.
I expect to see Witten to put up over 1,000 yards with about 7 TDs. He's a safe pick at TE.
Kicker: Stephen Gostkowski (New England Patriots)
Gostkowski is the starting kicker for the most explosive offense in the NFL. He will be putting up PAT after PAT. ]
He does have pretty good range and accuracy, which will help because of the Patriots being in the oponent's territory constituency.
The only downfall that you can say about Gostkowski is that the Patriots might not kick to many FGs because of their dominant offense, but we'll see if the PATs can make up for that.
Defense: Pittsburgh Steelers
Defenses win Super Bowls, I think everyone knows that. The Steelers probably have the best defense this decade, led by Troy Polamalu.
The Steelers did not go through too many changes in the defense this offseason, so you should expect about the same numbers that they put up last year (298.3 YPG and an amazing 40 RYPG)
