Bortles Injures Foot
Monday, Dec. 15
As Blake Bortles' rookie season winds down, he finds himself dealing with a foot injury that could keep him out of Jacksonville's Thursday night matchup with Tennessee.
Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reported on Bortles' status for Week 16:
Unfortunately, if Bortles is unable to play, the team will now have to turn back to Chad Henne after the injury to the rookie.
Henne was not awful in his short time on the field, posting a quarterback rating of 80.7, which would be a career high for the veteran. He also threw three touchdown passes to only one interception. His problem was that he was unable to sustain long drives with a low completion percentage (53.8, which would be a career low).
It will be difficult for the Jaguars to expect much more success this time around.
Jacksonville is certainly hoping Bortles' issue turns out to be minor for him to return to the field as soon as possible.
