ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan quoted a source saying Hackenberg is "good to go" despite injuring his shoulder.
Head coach James Franklin told reporters on Saturday that the X-rays were negative and the shoulder injury isn't thought to be serious.

Penn State sports information director of football Kris Petersen announced Hackenberg would not return.
According to ESPN.com's Josh Moyer, citing the network's television broadcast sideline report, Hackenberg was taken to the locker room for X-rays following the injury.
He wasn't consistent in 2015, completing just 53.3 percent of his passes, but Hackenberg was careful to protect the football with five interceptions in 345 attempts during the regular season.
The junior is a prototypical pocket passer at 6'4" and 228 pounds and will surely be among the top quarterbacks taken in the draft.
