Liverpool vs. Ludogorets: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview
Liverpool's Champions League comeback sees them come up against Bulgarian A Group champions Ludogorets Razgrad in their first Group B test on Tuesday evening.
It's been five years since the Reds last competed in the first phase of Europe's elite contest, and while this week's minnow opposition makes for a slightly subdued opener, Brendan Rodgers will be taking nothing for granted.
The Northern Irishman makes his bow in the continental tournament but has his own obstacles to climb in getting off to a winning start, viewing information and a preview of the fixture is discussed in further detail ahead.

Liverpool Left Vulnerable

One might debate the impact of coming into a tie on the back of a losing result, whether the drop in morale dejects or boosts a squad in their determination to do better, but then a lot of that factor relies on the personnel in question.
Rodgers will be hoping his men are of the sort likely to react positively to such setbacks, having suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa on Saturday, a loss that threatens to dislodge their momentum.
James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo has confirmed that Martin Skrtel will be one of those absent for the fixture, which should see Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren retain their places in the centre-back partnership:
On paper, one would think the English giants, even with a slightly weakened line-up, would be capable of easily doing away with Tuesday's opposition.
However, the Champions League will be new ground for many in the squad, and with Villa showing what can be done at Anfield but three days ago, Ludogorets will be hopeful of causing another upset.
Milan Borjan's Baptism by Fire
A lot of the pressure in completing that task will fall upon third-choice goalkeeper Milan Borjan, who only signed for the club three days ago, per The Guardian:
Coming in from free agency, the Canadian international is bound to be unfamiliar with his defence and communication will presumably be at a minimum, leaving Liverpool's attack with the chance to pounce on any apparent weakness.

Borjan has played in Serbia, Turkey and Argentina in the past, most recently turning out for Super Lig club Sivasspor before being released at the end of last season.
Without first and second-choice stoppers Vladislav Stoyanov and Ivan Cvorovic, manager Georgi Dermendzhiev can only pray his recent acquisition marks his club debut with a result, but that's likely little else than wishful thinking.
