Reluctant to embrace the pace of the new generation of cricket in ODIs, England have little choice in the T20 format, and the inclusion of Jason Roy to bat alongside Alex Hales at the top of the order is one of the most exciting selections of recent times.
Roy has been dominant for Surrey throughout the season, has astoundingly fast hands and can clear the ropes with ease. This match could be the start of a special international career.
The selection of James Taylor in the squad is also an exciting move by the England selectors, who have appeared hesitant to pick the Nottinghamshire batsman despite consistent form at county level. He'll come into the game fresh off the back of a century in the Royal London One Day Cup semi-final against Durham on Saturday.
Ravi Bopara, dropped from the ODI side, will also have a point to prove, as will captain Eoin Morgan who has looked in desperate form of late.

Perhaps the T20 format can bring out the excitement and potential in English cricket that is apparent but so reluctant to be embraced in any longer format.
England may have a chance to catch India cold; MS Dhoni's men always appear to have a strange antipathy towards T20 internationals despite their obsession with the format at domestic level.
Indeed, India's problem in the format is often getting a vastly experienced set of T20 players to jell as a team when they do play the occasional game together.
The likes of Virat Kohli will be hoping the freedom of T20 cricket will bring him back to form following a torrid tour.
