Dzeko Out of Bosnia Squad
Dzeko will play no part in Bosnia's forthcoming international friendly against Israel. Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News reports:
BBC Sport is calling Dzeko's ailment a "very serious calf injury".
Sky Sports also shared a timeline for Dzeko's recovery:
"He has already been ruled out of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s European Qualifier away to Israel on Sunday as a result and appears unlikely to be available for City’s next Premier League game at home to Swansea on November 22.
Bosnia-Herzegovina team doctor Reuf Karabeg said: 'It's a very serious injury and requires the kind of treatment whose time-frame unfortunately rules out a quick return.'
Dzeko said: 'I am extremely disappointed with the news that I will miss this match but I have faith in my team-mates and believe that they have it in them to get a result.'

Dzeko Withdrawn Due to Injury vs. QPR
Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko suffered an apparent injury during the club's match against QPR and his status is now up in the air.
The official Premier League Twitter feed provided more details about the ailment:
Dzeko has been one of City's most reliable players in recent years. He's scored at least 15 goals across all competitions in each of the past three terms. Even for a deep side like the Sky Blues, losing him for any extended period of time would be a notable setback to the attack.
ESPN UK passed along comments from City manager Manuel Pellegrini about the positive strides the Bosnian international has made during his time at Etihad Stadium.
"Edin has convinced himself that he can't wait as a striker just to score one goal," he said. "He has to play for 95 minutes every game, not always scoring but working for the team and making the movements. I think he is one of the players who has improved most in his attitude in the game.''
The veteran boss will likely feature a forward group of Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic while Dzeko is sidelined. The tandem should ensure the attack remains productive, but there isn't much depth behind them, leaving a smaller margin for error.
Jovetic in particular will be under pressure to step up. The club made a sizable investment to bring him in from Serie A side Fiorentina before last season. While he's yet to live up to the hype, he'll get a chance to rediscover top form if Dzeko misses an extended period of time.
More information about how long City could be without Dzeko should be available shortly after further evaluation. The club will hope it's not something that forces him to miss a lot of action, especially with a busy slate ahead.
While the reigning champions should be able to overcome a short-term absence, the forward group is going to get spread thin if it's a more serious ailment. It would force Pellegrini to get creative with the lineup without another true striker on the roster.
Once an update on Dzeko's status is provided by the club, the outlook should become more clear.
