Roy Williams and Brett Favre still circus clowns
While All Star fever runs wild across the land, the NFL proves other things in the sports world are still churning and circulating. For instance, what would you do if your annoying, unreliable friend told you he was going to stop talking to the people who expose him as annoying and unreliable?
It’s a rhetorical question, one that Roy Williams knows the answer to because Roy Williams says he “might” stop talking to the media all together this year. OH FOR SHAME! That means no more comments about “it’s not even funny how close we were to scoring 40 points” when the Cowboys score seven points. Roy, it’s probably in your best interest to stop talking to the media. Idiot.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Speaking of idiots, Brett Favre has apparently set a deadline for himself to sign with the Vikings. See, he wants to be sure he can be effective for an entire season — unlike the ‘08 campaign where he fizzled out like a school girl selling thin mints door-to-door. Oddly enough, Favre has set the personal deadline of July 30th. HOW CONVENIENT! This deadline is the start of training camp, ensuring that if Our Favre plays for the Vikings, he can show up for training camp and miss out on all the other organized team activities.
Along the same lines, money appears to be an important factor for Our Favre gracing the Vikings with his presence this season.
The Vikings plan to put single game tickets on sale Monday. Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, obviously knows that. He also knows if/when Favre’s signing is announced, the Vikings will reap boatloads of new cash in ticket and apparel sales.
Cook and Favre clearly have enough leverage to extract at least a $10 million deal for the coming season, assuming Favre remains healthy. Ultimately, it’s up to owner Zygi Wilf to determine Favre’s worth to the Vikings, who certainly are justified in offering an incentive-laden contract.
###MORE### Ten million dollars for a 40 year old to fold up shop beginning in late November? My oh my, the price of losing is quite expensive these days. If this goes down, Tarvaris Jackson kindly asks that you show him the door to another team. Given the past comments about Favre from Vikings LB Chad Greenway and now the quarterback, it’s safe to say the chemistry of the Vikings team is already in question.
They’re no longer a team of champions. Here’s a real team …
Yea that’s right.
