Florida Governor Gets Sneak Peak at EA Sports NCAA Football 10

Dean HyblJul 13, 2009

Florida Governor Charlie Crist, a former college quarterback, was “In the Game” on Monday as he received a sneak peak of the new NCAA Football 10 at the EA Tiburon Studios in Maitland, Florida.

Set for release on Tuesday, July 14, NCAA Football 10 is the latest and greatest edition of EA Sports’ popular college football game.

Though EA continues to set the bar high with each new edition, they never seem to fail at taking their product to an even greater level.

As someone who was raised in the pre-video game world where Electric Football was the closest thing to being in the game, watching the amazing graphics and life-like features of today’s video games is really quite remarkable.

NCAA Football 10 includes a number of features that completely immerse you in the action and excitement of the college football experience. And, best of all, it provides you a seemingly endless supply of options in areas where you used to be limited to a few stock choices.

Through the TeamBuilder feature, you can create the team of your dreams and control everything from the name, logo and uniform to the stadium, roster and playbook. There are hundreds of pre-loaded graphics or you can upload your own and share it with the world through the Online Dynasty feature.

If you like playing against an online opponent, then the Season Showdown will keep you up late at night showing off your skills.

Fans of college football reporter Erin Andrews will enjoy the Road to Glory feature where she and Kirk Herbstreit chronicle your online football career.

The Strategic Gameplay is designed for those who like the X’s and O’s and in-game strategy as it allows you to adjust up to 11 strategic conditions that directly impact the game, including defensive coverage and blocking style.

For Governor Crist, who is a declared candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2010, checking out the inner-workings of the EA Tiburon studios provided a chance to relive his glory days as a high school and college football player.

Crist was the starting quarterback at St. Petersburg High School and spent two seasons on the roster at Wake Forest University, though he did not earn a varsity letter.

The trip also allowed Crist to emphasize the important role that high tech jobs will have in continuing to shape the future economy for Florida.

EA Sports is just one of more than 20,000 innovative companies that reside within Florida’s High Tech Corridor, which comprises 23 counties running from coast to coast across the center of Florida, and combine for an annual payroll of more than $16 billion.

While Crist spends the next several months looking to secure his future as a U.S. Senator, fans of NCAA Football 10 will probably have a much more enjoyable time seeing if there really are “60 years of continuous play” in EA Sports latest creation as the Online Dynasty feature claims.

You can guarantee that there will be lots of college students across the country spending late nights this fall trying to find out.
