WWE WrestleMania 30: Stars Who Will Cement Legacies with Thrilling Matches

Aaron BowerApr 1, 2014

It's the showcase of the immortals, and this year's edition of WrestleMania promises to be one of the very best.

There are huge matches across almost the entirety of the card, with some absolutely massive stars going up against each other.

There are clashes of eras, and plenty of new breed vs. old guard to keep us entertained. There is the prospect of some guys becoming legends of the company in just one night, which is a pretty big deal.

For the guys who are on the verge of gaining legendary status though, WrestleMania will be an even bigger night than it is for everyone else.

But who are the guys that could cement their legacy at WrestleMania XXX? Let's take a look.

The New Age Outlaws

1 of 5

We start with a pair of guys who—alongside Kane—are going up against the hottest stable in the WWE.

The New Age Outlaws were champions of the tag division a few weeks ago, a remarkable effort for a pair of men who have been absent from WWE TV for so long.

However, since then they have slowly morphed into stooges of The Authority, and that, coupled with a face turn for The Shield, has seen this match take shape rapidly.

They are six-time tag champions—ensuring they are one of the greatest teams ever to grace a WWE ring. Their legacy is pretty much confirmed already, but helping to put The Shield over even more would cement that.

And they will hopefully put on a great show against The Shield at WrestleMania. If it is their last ever appearance at the grand event, it will be a great way for them to go out.

Triple H

2 of 5

Pretty difficult to include Triple H on this list in some respects—his legacy has been confirmed for a long time.

He has been one of the icons of WrestleMania—most notably for those epic bouts with The Undertaker, perhaps.

However, this Daniel Bryan rivalry has been groundbreaking, and absolutely brilliant to watch. This could be remembered as one of his best feuds—when you consider that he is essentially inactive in the ring.

His role as a heel is amongst some of his best work, and that has been proven with Bryan. It will surely be one hell of a match against Bryan at WrestleMania XXX—and he could even go on to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship later in the night.

Randy Orton

3 of 5

A heel Randy Orton is a good Randy Orton. The last 10 years have proven that—Orton is at his very best when he is demonically and systematically ripping people apart.

The last few months have been pretty good on his part—a disappointing return from Batista has tainted it somewhat, but that is not Orton's fault at all.

It would be brilliant to see Orton and whoever is involved with the championship match—Triple H or Daniel Bryan—go at it big style in the main event.

Orton is sure to be regarded as one of the finest men to ever step in a WWE ring when he calls it a day—admittedly, a long way away from now.

But his run as the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Championship will secure his legacy.

Daniel Bryan

4 of 5

Some may think Daniel Bryan is too young to secure his legacy at WrestleMania XXX.

Wrong. It is not about age, it is about the work you are producing. And this year will rank alongside the best 12 months any WWE Superstar has ever encountered.

Popularity? Check. In-ring ability? Check. Ability to send the crowd crazy? Check—or even, yes.

And this rivalry with The Authority will go down as one of the best programs Bryan could ever work. No matter what heights he goes on to hit in the future—multiple championship reigns, you would think—this is essentially where it really started.

The culmination of his feud with Triple H will be a fantastic spectacle. The match will be brilliant, and the ending is sure to be gripping.

Whether he advances to the main event or not at WrestleMania, Daniel Bryan will etch himself into history.

Brock Lesnar

5 of 5

It seems rare that you could lose at WrestleMania, yet secure a legacy.

However, that is exactly what Brock Lesnar will do this time around. He won't beat The Undertaker—nobody will at WrestleMania—which is why Lesnar almost has a free pass to win everyone over.

The program with Taker has been slowly building over the last few weeks—and it jumped up a real notch on the final Raw before Mania this week (March 31).

When they step into the ring in what will be perhaps the most anticipated match of the evening—the atmosphere will be at a premium.

This could be Lesnar's last WrestleMania for all we know—so expect him to deliver big time. And when he is added to the list of The Undertaker's conquests, he will have cemented himself as a true WWE legend.
