
Winter Olympics 2014 Schedule: Live Stream, TV Info and Day 3 Preview
The 2014 Olympics in Sochi continued with a plethora of tantalizing events on Sunday. Monday's schedule is every bit as enticing. With alpine skiing, the biathlon, curling, freestyle skiing, hockey, luge, short track and speedskating on the slate, viewers are sure to be entertained.
Five events will reach their conclusions on Monday, so the medal standings will continue to shift.
Let's take a closer look at each event that will take place on Day 3 of the Olympics, including viewing information and outlook.
Alpine Skiing: Women's Super Combined

Favorite Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany will look to hold off the surging Marie-Michele Gagnon of Canada and Austria's Michaela Kirchgasser. All eyes will be on Team USA's Julia Mancuso as well, as the United States looks to make a push for the podium here.
Biathlon: Men's 12.5 km Pursuit

All eyes will be on 40-year-old Olympic veteran Ole Einar Bjoerndalen as he sets out on his quest for a 13th Winter Olympics medal. He is currently tied for the most of all time with 12 and would love to finish his time at Sochi with the all-time record.

Curling is a fascinating sport, and this year will feature plenty of highly contested matchups from teams around the world. The 2014 Olympics have the best of the best on hand in Sochi, and we're just getting started on Monday.
Freestyle Skiing: Men's Moguls

Canada has had the upper hand in this event for some time now; however, the United States has the firepower to make a run at the podium this year. Bradley Wilson will attempt to put Team USA on his shoulders in this event in effort to take down his rivals from the north.
Ice Hockey: Women's Preliminary Round, Group A
Group A: First Match

When: Monday, Feb. 10
Who: United States vs. Switzerland

The United States will attempt to continue its dominance on its way to a potential Olympic gold medal against Switzerland on Monday. Team USA was able to defeat Finland by a score of 3-1 in its opening contest; however, rival powerhouse Canada defeated Switzerland by a score of 5-0.
Group A: Second Match

When: Monday, Feb. 10
Who: Finland vs. Canada

Outlook
If the United States is able to defeat Finland earlier in the day, Canada will look to keep pace by taking care of the underdog Finland team in this contest. Finland already lost to Team USA by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.
Luge: Women's Singles

The favorite in this contest is Germany's Natalie Geisenberger, as she is rarely beaten in this event. However, if she is to reach the podium, she must first get past teammate Tatjana Huefner—the defending Olympic champion.
Short Track: Men's 1,500 m, Ladies' 500 m, Ladies' 3,000 m Relay
Men's 1,500 Meter

When: Monday, Feb. 10

Canada's Charles Hamelin is the favorite in this event, as he is very familiar with Sochi. In 2013, he won 500-meter and 1,000-meter events and is very familiar with how the ice will act on Monday. He will be chased by Lee Han-bin of South Korea and Viktor Ahn of Russia.
Ladies' 500 Meter Heats

When: Monday, Feb. 10
Where: Adler Arena Skating Center

Ladies' short-track speedskating takes off on Monday, as the field of 32 skaters will be narrowed down after Monday's qualifying round. They will then have to pass through the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals to reach their ultimate goal of an Olympic medal.
Ladies' 3,000 Meter Relay Semifinals

When: Monday, Feb. 10
Where: Adler Arena Skating Center

This marks the first time the United States will not have a team in this event. This is a shame for Team USA, as they figured to be able to medal easily in the relay. The United States won the bronze in 1994 and again in 2010. It appears that the torch will be passed to another county this year in Sochi.
Speedskating: Men's 500 Meter

When: Monday, Feb. 10

Outlook
Defending champion Mo Tae-bum of South Korea will look to capture gold once again this year in Sochi. However, he will have to compete with a pair of Japanese skaters who earned medals in Vancouver as well. Keiichiro Nagashima and Joji Kato will look to dethrone Tae-Bum as the three take the ice on Monday.
