The New York Giants' Mathias Kiwanuka: A One On One
B/R: Mr. Kiwanuka, thank you for joining us. Firstly, what is it like to play for one of the storied franchises of the NFL in the New York Giants?
B/R: I have to ask, when and where did people start calling you "Kiwi" instead of Mathias or Kiwanuka? Do you have any other nicknames you go by?
B/R: Two years ago you broke your leg, and in the ensuing months your team went on one of the greatest runs to winning the super bowl in history. How did you measure your excitement for your teammates against your disappointment that you could not join them?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
B/R: Staying in 2007--that off-season you were moved to outside linebacker. It seemed you were finally coming around to the position when you got hurt; then in 2008, once Osi went down, you were moved back to end. Throughout the whole process you said all the right things, but in hindsight what was it like?
B/R: This off-season you decided to change your number from 97 back to your college number, 94. What made you make that decision?
B/R: With so much football in the Midwest, how did you end up leaving Indiana to go play college ball in Boston?
B/R: Between your college years and your professional career, you have lived in the two biggest cities on the East Coast in Boston and New York. What are some of the positives and negatives of both, and be honest, which one do you like more?
B/R: Finally, many might not know that you are the grandson of Benedicto Kiwanuka, the first Prime Minister of a democratic Uganda. You were never able to meet him, but tell us what it is like to bear a name that carries so much history and significance.
B/R: Mathias, thank you for your time, and we here at BR wish you the best of luck this upcoming season, and look forward to speaking with you again.
