WWE Survivor Series 2013: Hell in a Cell Victors Who Will Keep Momentum
WWE's Thanksgiving tradition is coming up on November 24, as Survivor Series will once again feature the best and brightest the company has to offer. Fans are accustomed to seeing their favorites battle it out on the pay-per-view stage, and Survivor Series should be no different, as the card is in the very early stages of taking shape.
But it could be the previous event, Hell in a Cell, which will determine the way that November's pay-per-view will go down. I believe that some of the Cell's big winners will once again have their arms raised on November 24.
Momentum is everything in WWE, and for these Superstars, it should continue at Survivor Series.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Big E Langston
Big E Langston is one of those Superstars who is in a great spot in the company. Coming off a face turn that saw him physically take out Ryback and Curtis Axel, Langston is being spotlighted fairly regularly on TV now.
His WWE career is on a definite upswing, and as we watch him progress, the fact is that he cannot afford many losses at this point. Yes, Randy Orton scored the win on the November 4 edition of Monday Night Raw, but that was to be expected. Orton is the WWE champ after all, so working Langston on live TV was more about allowing the NXT star to showcase his skills against one of the company's best.
And for me, it went pretty well.
I believe that Langston is doing what WWE expects of him right now; he is going out and making the most of his new opportunity. The truth is that he either has it or he doesn't, and the only real way to find out is to just throw him out there and let him work.
Using him against WWE's top stars will be a great way to determine just where he's at right now. The top guys can test him out and see if he is indeed ready for the attention that the company is currently giving him. And if there are any problem areas, they can be addressed now before WWE goes any further with him.
But, of course, momentum is the key. Langston must be seen as a guy headed toward something big. He must be seen as a winner. Otherwise, his face turn could fail and fans will have no reason to support him despite whom he's working.
His win at Hell in a Cell may be via disqualification against Dean Ambrose, but he did go over, and that should be the case at Survivor Series. While it's unknown right now who he could face, the fact is that he should be matched up against someone relevant, yet not someone on the level of Orton, CM Punk or John Cena.
Ambrose is a possibility, as is any member of The Shield. Ryback is without a dance partner right now, as well as Kane, and any of these matchups could be good for E and entertaining for fans.
But Langston must win. And I believe he will at Survivor Series.
Randy Orton
For many WWE fans, this one is already in the bag.
Randy Orton is the WWE Champion, the man being touted as the "face" of the company. He is The Authority's number one weapon, the one entrusted with carrying the banner for the company and representing the regime's power to the masses.
To imagine him losing the WWE title now seems highly unlikely. His title win over Daniel Bryan back at SummerSlam was nothing more than a false start, and now that he has once again regained the gold, I personally do not see the game plan changing yet again.
Randy is in it for the long haul, and Survivor Series should supply him with another victory.
However, this does not discount the work that his opponent has put in. Big Show has come up from WWE's mid-card level to rub shoulders with Orton, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in WWE's primary storyline. And despite the belief that some fans have that perhaps Daniel Bryan should have been in this spot, there is no ignoring the fact that Big Show has made the best of his new role and delivered on every level.
And this is actually quite an accomplishment, considering that it's nearly impossible to imagine a 500 pound Superstar as an underdog. But that is exactly what happened with Big Show, and he more than made it work.
But the WWE Championship is barely warm around Randy Orton's waist right now, and with that being the case, I don't think there's any way that he loses at Survivor Series. Randy's controversial win over Bryan at Hell in a Cell was a win nonetheless, and that should also be the case in November.
Truth be told, Randy must get this victory, or eventually, he will be seen as a man who simply cannot get it done without help. And if that happens, then fans may stop believing in him altogether, and the angle will not succeed.
Orton needs this win at Survivor Series, and I believe he will get it.
John Cena
If many fans consider Orton to be the clear winner at Survivor Series, then John Cena has to be in that same discussion.
Of any Superstar who will be booked on November 24, Cena is the man who is almost certainly guaranteed a victory. Despite advertising Orton as the face of WWE, the fact is that John Cena is still the big dog on top of the world, and that does not look to change anytime soon.
His win over Alberto Del Rio for the World Championship at Hell in a Cell was likely nothing more than just a friendly reminder by WWE that John is still their man. It also reestablishes the World title as a very relevant championship and has already topped Orton's belt for many of the WWE faithful.
Del Rio should get a rematch for the belt at Survivor Series, and if he does, he will lose. If it's hard to see WWE changing direction with Orton and his title right now, it's impossible to see them taking the World title from Cena already.
And even if the match were to become a triple threat that includes Damien Sandow, the result will still be the same. Damien has come a long way in his WWE career, and he did impress many fans when he worked Cena on the October 28 edition of Raw. I, for one, think that Damien is on the right track, and hopefully, big things will happen for him in the very near future.
But that will likely not include winning the World Championship from John Cena.
John Cena wins on the pay-per-view stage, it's what he does. And it will happen again on November 24 at Survivor Series.
