WWE Survivor Series 2013: Most Intriguing Storylines and Feuds to Follow
WWE Survivor Series is nearly here, and Vince McMahon's company is very likely planning the event behind the scenes as we speak. For many fans out there, there are surely a host of questions concerning this pay-per-view and what it will have to offer WWE's fanbase.
Chief among those questions could very well be why? Why should I care?
The fact is that WWE has had two less than stellar events in a row now. Both Battleground and Hell in a Cell saw lousy finishes involving Daniel Bryan and the WWE Championship. Even though both events had highlights including the Rhodes brothers, it was not enough for many of the WWE faithful to view either event as anything less than a failure.

And now that Survivor Series is in the works, many fans are wondering why they should care and if the company will actually come through this time. These are fair questions and ones that deserve very good answers.
To get those answers, we need to look at current and developing storylines, as well as feuds in WWE. Then we may get a better idea of what we're in store for.
The Wyatt Family's Agenda
On the October 28 edition of Raw, Bray Wyatt and his family attacked Daniel Bryan backstage. The assault came after Bryan took out his aggression on Shawn Michaels in the ring due to not winning the WWE title at Hell in a Cell.
The attack was very surprising because up to this point, The Wyatt Family has had no heat with Daniel for any reason. Yet the beatdown took place, and when it did, the door was opened to all sorts of possibilities.
Those possibilities were increased when the Wyatt clan attacked CM Punk in the ring. What began as an isolated incident was now a pattern, and that pattern had potential.
Did someone order Bray to take out Punk and Bryan? Was Triple H behind it? Or, could it have been Kane, possibly even Paul Heyman, handing out the group's marching orders? Or did Bray decide to do this all on his own, putting his family on the path to WWE's main event level?
It's a very intriguing storyline to say the least. This one is definitely still a work in progress.
Kane Surrenders Himself to Stephanie McMahon
Another twist that occurred on Raw was the actions of the Big Red Machine. Kane has not been seen or heard from since losing a Ring of Fire match, and in all that time, his former tag team partner Daniel Bryan has been virtually on his own against The Authority.
So when Kane finally came back at the previous night's Hell in a Cell, many fans likely thought that was going to change the next night on Raw. However, when Kane called Stephanie McMahon to the ring and basically surrendered himself to her, fans got a change they were not expecting.
Now, it seems that The Authority has the monster it wanted Big Show to be, and fans are left wondering what will happen next.
Will Kane in fact become the newest enforcer for Triple H? This appears to be where WWE is headed but as of this writing, it's unclear what the future holds. Of course, if Kane becomes The Authority's muscle, then I have to believe that Bryan will be his first target.
This would bring together the former Team Hell No members, pitting them against each other for the first time in quite a while. It would stack the deck even higher against Bryan, adding more intensity than already exists in this angle.
What will WWE do with Kane, and just how far will this storyline go with him in the mix?
The Shield Begins to Unravel
What began on the October 28 edition of Raw continued on the following Friday Night SmackDown.
For two consecutive programs, Dean Ambrose ever so subtly insinuated that he was stepping out from The Shield. And on both occasions, it was clear that Roman Reigns was not happy about it. The fact that some fans are also not very happy about this twist will surely not stop it from happening, as we all knew it eventually would.
The Shield is heading for demise.
Whether or not this means that all three members will split up is unclear at this point. But what does seem to be clear is that Ambrose is on his way out of the group. And if that's true, then we could see WWE's No. 1 faction implode at Survivor Series.
The most intriguing part of this angle is that now fans will truly begin to see just who the company will be trusting to move forward in individual roles. Since its inception, The Shield has been examined and reexamined from top to bottom—all in an effort to determine which member will rise the fastest and go the furthest.
Fans have their favorites, and despite which of the three men does the most in his WWE career, the starting point begins now. This is the beginning of the end.
Big Show Banned from WWE
The World's Largest Athlete has apparently worn out his welcome, as Triple H banned him from WWE for life. While this wrinkle is somewhat unexpected, the truth is that The Game had to do something.
Big Show has been a thorn in The Authority's side since SummerSlam. What began as mild frustration has spiraled into a full-on rebellion, a rebellion that has threatened to topple Triple H's regime. Now, Show is out of a job and as far away from WWE as he possibly could be.
Of course, we all know that this is about Big Show being thrust into the company's primary storyline and since that happened, he has been more over with the crowd than at virtually any time in his career. Show has inherited Stone Cold's old spot in the company, and thus far, it's working.
He openly defied the boss, he came back even after being fired, and he drove a semi straight into Monday Night Raw. He knocked out Triple H and Randy Orton, and I would not be surprised if Stephanie was next. If you work in Hunter's new regime, then you are in Big Show's way, and you are a target.
It's unknown how Show's supposed banishment will play into Survivor Series or if his status will change before the event takes place. But what is known is that Show's involvement in this angle is surely leading to something big.
And that big thing could end up being a one-on-one match with Triple H. All signs point to it happening, and if it does, it could happen at Survivor Series.
The question now is whether or not fans will care about the pay-per-view after all this.
