Liverpool's Best Goals of the Season so Far
After seeing the likes of Jack Wilshere and Pajtim Kasami hog the goalscoring headlines recently, Liverpool decided to weigh in with their own special strikes against West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Each of the Reds' four goals in the 4-1 win had something special about them, with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge both continuing their fine form with impressive strikes.
Liverpool's good start to the season has been well-received by expectant supporters, who are now looking forward to the remainder of a campaign which looks likely to feature a challenge for the top-four positions in the table, and maybe even the league title itself.
It is also going to produce excellent goals, with plenty of strikes to rival the six best that the Reds have scored so far...
6. Jordan Henderson vs. Notts County
1 of 6Having seen a two-goal lead evaporate and been dragged to extra-time by their shock-seeking League One opponents, Liverpool received a further blow when Kolo Toure limped off to leave them with just 10 men.
However, Daniel Sturridge's strike then put those 10 men 3-2 in front, and Liverpool's win was confirmed thanks to this fine goal from Jordan Henderson.
Picking the ball up from youngster Jordon Ibe, Henderson drove at the Magpies defence, nutmegged Gary Liddle and expertly slotted home the goal which killed off the spirited lower league side, netting his ninth strike for Liverpool.
5. Raheem Sterling vs. Notts County
2 of 6Things looked as though they were going to be a lot simpler for Liverpool earlier that same night, when Raheem Sterling stylishly opened the scoring early on.
On the same day he'd been called up to the England squad, the teenager picked up the ball midway inside the Notts County half before skipping forward, bursting in between two visiting defenders and burying a low shot into the corner of the net.
It remains his only goal of the campaign so far.
4. Daniel Sturridge vs. Crystal Palace
3 of 6Sometimes forwards can do it all on their own.
Daniel Sturridge wasn't interested in anything other than finding the back of the net when he picked the ball up on the left edge of the Crystal Palace penalty area earlier this month, and despite support from Sterling and Victor Moses, he chose to twist and turn before firing goalwards.
When the result is as good as this, who needs anyone else?
3. Daniel Sturridge vs. Aston Villa
4 of 6Off the back of the impressive performance in the opening day victory over Stoke, Liverpool headed for Aston Villa in the knowledge that things were going to get tougher.
That is how it proved during what was a tricky second period, but the Reds won 1-0 courtesy of this fine goal from Sturridge.
Showing excellent close control, Sturridge picked up Jose Enrique's pass (a ball neatly dummied by Philippe Coutinho) and tip-toed through the Villa defence before rounding Brad Guzan and firing into the roof of the net.
2. Luis Suarez vs. West Brom
5 of 6On the list of things that Luis Suarez can do on a football pitch, scoring headers from 18 yards out wasn't featured too high.
It was there, though, and he showed this skill with the second goal of his hat-trick against West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Aly Cissokho's cross didn't look ideal for the Uruguayan, but he still managed to get himself into a position to plant a superb header into the top corner which goalkeeper Boaz Myhill didn't have a hope of keeping out.
1. Daniel Sturridge vs. West Brom
6 of 6Given the amount of goals he's scored in his short Liverpool career already, Daniel Sturridge was always likely to take this crown.
He took it spectacularly, too, with this stunning chip against West Brom last Saturday, capping the Reds' superb 4-1 victory in the finest of styles.
Having already seen his strike partner Suarez bag a hat-trick, Sturridge showed that he wasn't to be outdone when he burst towards goal before sending this impudent chip over Myhill and into the Kop end net to spark wild celebrations.
