WWE 2K14 Roster: Biggest and Best Additions to Stable of Superstars
WWE 2K14 is out this Tuesday, with many chain retail stores doing a midnight release for that game as well as Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. While it's the first WWE title from 2K Sports, development was started under THQ and the same team—led by Cory Ledesma—was in charge of development.
Not unlike with last year's Attitude Era mode, the title has eschewed a traditional career mode for the single-player campaign.
This year, it's 30 Years of WrestleMania, which gives the game quite a varied roster of legends. Between new and old stars, let's take a look at some of the best new additions to this year's roster.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns)
The biggest and best new stars in WWE this year, they debuted on the main roster a few weeks after WWE '13 came out and made a huge impact. They were unbeatable as a team for months and had consistently incredible matches along the way.
The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neill)
While they've been teaming since early 2012, they came into their own and got more exposure in 2013. Oh, and they turned babyface when Darren Young became a mainstream news story.
While they haven't gotten a big push yet, they're a really good team and steady presence in the tag team division that should really break out in 2014 as the division gets a bigger focus. Their power moves should also translate really well to a video game.
Bruno Sammartino
Having made various licensing deals when he returned to WWE for his Hall of Fame induction this past spring, this is The Living Legend's first appearance in a WWE video game. He had previously appeared in two of Acclaim's three Legends of Wrestling games.
As an old school powerhouse type, he doesn't have a lot of cool video game moves, but it's a huge deal that he's here.
Big E. Langston
Fresh off his babyface turn, Langston will be available as DLC in December's WWE Superstars and Moves Pack. Like The Prime Time Players, he has a lot of cool power moves that should make him a fan favorite to play as and it's nice to see him here even if he should be on the default roster.
The Ultimate Warrior
Available as DLC free with pre-orders—but really in all copies in the initial shipments—this is his first appearance in the regular annual WWE games. He had appeared in older games from other licensees as well as THQ's arcade-style WWE Legends of WrestleMania and WWE All-Stars games.
While he was certainly a...limited performer to say the least, the many hours of WWF No Mercy I played as Bradshaw showed how fun it is to play as wrestlers who can just clothesline everyone out of their boots.
