Gregory Bourdy, Continental Europe
Bourdy made history at the Seve Trophy this year, becoming the first player ever to go five for five in his matches. Making his accomplishment all the sweeter, the French golfer was able to do it in his home country, as noted by The European Tour:
On Sunday, Scott Jamieson had no chance against Bourdy, who was playing some of the best golf on the course. Bourdy won six of the first 10 holes on the day, cruising to a 4-and-3 victory to cap off his spectacular weekend.
After his big win on Sunday, Bourdy excitedly discussed this thoughts about playing so well in his home country, as noted by the AFP:
"I'm so happy to achieve that and it was an amazing week for me. It was great to play in front of my French crowd and in Saint-Nom-la-Breteche, it's a great course and I love to play in team events."
Continental Europe would have had no chance of winning the 2013 Seve Trophy without his stellar efforts.
Miguel Angel Jimenez, Continental Europe
As noted by The European Tour, Jimenez had played in every Seve Trophy since its inception back in 2000:
The man, the myth, the legend that is Miguel Angel Jimenez put another feather in his cap by giving the best performance of any golfer on Sunday.
He shot five-under par through his first eight holes, putting opponent David Lynn on the defensive from the get-go. By the time the match was finished, Jimenez had won six holes while Lynn had failed to win a single one.
The final score says it all: Jimenez wins 6 and 4.
Marc Warren, Great Britain and Ireland
Warren put forth a brilliant effort in a losing cause on Sunday, beating Thorbjorn Oleson 4 and 3 to earn a point for Great Britain and Ireland.
The match was played at a torrid pace, as Oleson won five holes on the day, but Warren responded by winning a whopping nine out of 15 holes played.
Though he didn't get off to a particularly hot start, Warren went six-under par on the day to win the match.
