The WWE Landscape is Changing, But is it for the Better?
Right now three of the most experienced wrestlers on the roster are taking a break. They are Triple H (39), Shawn Michaels (43), and Undertaker (44).
I think that WWE is finally looking to the future and seeing how the company performs without their top stars, and that got me thinking.
Assuming that all the current wrestlers retire in their early to mid 40's, we will see a plethora of stars leaving our screens over the next 5 years. Included in that group are:

We are officially in a transition period. The younger wrestlers certainly have bright futures ahead of them, and soon they will have the proverbial torch passed to them.
Fast forward to Wrestlemania 30. A new generation of wrestler has emerged. They are high-flying, fast-paced and know how to make an impact. Superstars such as Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, The Brian Kendrick and The Colons are in a league of their own.
Meanwhile on the hunt for 'the big one' include:
- Edge (35)
- Christian (35)
- Jeff Hardy (31)
- Randy Orton (29)
- John Cena (32)
- Rey Mysterio (34)
- MVP (35)
- Mr. Kennedy (33)
- CM Punk (30)
- Shelton Benjamin (33)
- John Morrison (29)
- Matt Hardy (34)
One thing that I have noticed is that the "monster" type of wrestler seems like they're being faded out. The only one left will be Mike Knox!
I personally can't wait for the return of Triple H, HBK and 'Taker, and I hope that they will stick around for the next couple of years.
One thing is for certain. We can all have confidence in WWE being bigger and better in the years to come.
