Owner Mode is a Great Addition to Connected Careers

The Connected Careers mode was already a huge aspect of the Madden franchise and a fan favorite, but the inclusion of the new Owner mode allows gamers to control every aspect of an organization.

The idea of video games being in-depth and all-encompassing is what makes them appealing, and having control of an entire franchise in the NFL is amazing. Not only can you control prices for food and memorabilia, but you also depict and determine every facet of the game from the viewpoint of a general manager as well.

Connected Careers is still interesting as a coach or as a single player, but the Owner option makes this a mode that fans could immerse themselves in for extended periods of time.

Big Improvements in the Rushing Attack

One of the most enjoyable portions of any football game is running the ball. With EA Sports knowing the fans' love for carrying the rock, the company made vast improvements in that aspect.

The implementation of the Run Free system that features a more realistic physics engine makes the movement and fluidity of ball-carriers the best in the history of the game.

While the realism is unparalleled, the real improvements come with the implementation of new and more impactful evasive moves.

Whether you are using the juke, the stiff arm, spinning or hurdling your opponent (a real option this year that is flat-out amazing), the success of each has improved in 2013 and will make running the ball far more enjoyable.

Jim Nantz and Phil Simms Highlight Superb Audio

One my biggest pet peeves in sports video games in the awful announcing and sound at times, but Madden 25 has stepped up its game with the analysis from commentators Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

The chatter between the two men is entertaining, but the vast amount of possible conversation keeps the interactions fresh. EA Sports was focused on addressing the audio as a serious factor in the game, and have delivered in full.

Nantz and Simms are great as a duo, but with the inclusion of sideline reporting that is pertinent to the situation and the most realistic game action to date, there is no doubt that even the most stubborn gamers will enjoy the audio.
