Why Where You Watch WWE Programming Makes All the Difference
Eight days ago, WWE presented its 26th annual SummerSlam pay-per-view, and what a spectacular show it was.
It received rave reviews from many members of the WWE Universe and was easily one of the better installments of the event in recent years.
Similar to last year, I made a trip to the the Buffalo Wild Wings establishment in my area to watch the show last Sunday night. For those unaware, Buffalo Wild Wings airs all WWE pay-per-views for free (as long as you order something from the menu, of course).
The place was packed with die-hard wrestling fans, all ready for an electric night of unforgettable action.
Almost everyone in attendance was sporting WWE merchandise. Needless to say, the energetic environment where I watched the show definitely helped enhance the event.
Whether it was the enormous pop for Daniel Bryan or the chorus of boos for John Cena, those watching the event from Buffalo Wild Wings weren't afraid to speak their mind that night. It made for an incredible experience and it is certainly one that I will not soon forget.
It's common knowledge that watching a WWE event from the building its emanating from is usually much more entertaining that watching it from the comfort of your own home. However, there are many ways to have fun while watching wrestling, aside from being there in person.
More often than not, you have more of a blast watching wrestling with someone who is a fellow fan than watching by yourself. Regardless of whether they like the same Superstars that you do, it's always great to have someone, with whom you can share your thoughts on the world of wrestling.
Visiting a friend's house to watch Raw every week may grow excessive over time, but it's a smart way to save money when it comes to the monthly pay-per-views.
It's not uncommon for wrestling fans to hold viewing parities for WrestleMania each year (you know, wrestling's version of the Super Bowl), so find a friend that hosts said party or start a tradition by hosting one yourself.
With Raw being three hours long, it is sometimes difficult to stay awake for the entire episode. However, while watching with someone else, their colorful commentary of the show may be enough to keep you tuned in without dozing off halfway though the night.
Sure, watching wrestling from home might be convenient and all, but is it really all that enjoyable? You would be surprised by how much one's opinion of an event can change, depending on where they watched it.
Perhaps you had abrupt computer issues while watching wrestling on your laptop. Even worse, maybe your power went out and you couldn't find out who won the main event of Raw until the next morning.
Sometimes it's not what you're watching, but how you're watching it, that matters the most. Only you can make the most of your viewing experience, so improve it by finding others to watch it with, or by taking a trip to a local establishment that airs it for free.
