PGA Championship 2013: Tiger Woods Addresses Problems at Oak Hill
Tiger Woods arrived Monday at the PGA Championship knowing it was his last chance at a major this year. He has a problem and set out looking for some help to strengthen a particular part of his game.
Yes, it's difficult to believe Woods needs any help after his commanding performance and win at last week's WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. But he apparently feels he needs some help on his putting and sought out the expertise of a familiar face—Steve Stricker.
During Monday's practice round, Woods asked for Stricker 's opinion on his putting and on what adjustments he should make. There is one big difference, though. Stricker is left-handed.
According to Woods, Stricker believes his blade swing is just fine.
Woods told ASAPSports.com, "Steve and I were talking about putting, and some of the things that he likes to believe and he feels. I've actually got to flip it around because he feels everything in his left hand and I feel everything in my right hand, but we believe in how the blade swings and how it moves."

Much of the pair's focus was on Woods' arms, shoulders and facial rotation while putting.
Woods may feel he needs some putting help because he is not quite comfortable on Oak Hill's greens. A week ago, Woods was critical of the greens at Oak Hill. This week, his tone has changed.
Woods told ASAP Sports:
"They certainly have sped up. I think they are close to 11‑plus now. They have picked up a couple feet, easily, and I'm sure they are going to dry them out and roll them a little bit more and get a little bit more speed out of them. It's going to be a great test. There's not a lot of base to it. Obviously the greens have a little bit of sand underneath. But the balls aren't ripping back because of that. They are just kind of digging in and kind of rolling, so it's a little bit different than we played last week. But that's all feel and understanding.
"
The last time Stricker helped Woods with his putting was back in March. Woods went on to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational that week. This week, he asked for assistance from Stricker again after running away with a victory at Firestone and letting the rest of the field compete for second place.
What does that mean for Woods this week? You do the math.
Stricker isn't Woods' secret weapon, but he is becoming a regular piece of Woods' arsenal.
