Tiger Woods Is Still the No. 1 Player in the World

OK, so maybe Tiger Woods hasn't won a major since the 2008 U.S. Open, but in the grand scheme of things, he deserves to be ranked No. 1 in the world.

Woods leads the PGA Tour with five wins this year, three victories ahead of the rest of the field. He's also posted seven top-10 finishes in just 11 PGA Tour events. He's missed one cut on tour.

Tiger's first two rounds at Firestone were the difference-makers. He posted a four-under-par 66 on the first day and exploded with a nine-under 61 on Day 2, which tied a career best for the legend. Woods finished with a two-under 68 and even par to close out the tournament.

Woods' greens-in-regulation percentage was well above the field average at Firestone, per WorldGolfChampionships.com. He posted 19 birdies and one eagle to five bogeys in the tournament.

Jason Dufner Falls Down Leaderboard on Final Day

Jason Dufner, in sole possession of third place headed into the final day, went one over par on Sunday.

Dufner finished in fourth place with a six-under 274. It was his second top-10 finish in 17 PGA Tour events this year. He has yet to post a win after capturing the Byron Nelson Championship and Zurich Classic last year.

Dufner ranked 103rd on tour in fourth-round scoring average before the Bridgestone Invitational, per PGATour.com.

Keegan Bradley Rises Up Leaderboard on Final Day

Perhaps a few more wins have been expected out of Keegan Bradley after the 27-year-old captured the PGA Championship in his rookie season on the PGA Tour in 2011, but he does have seven top-10 finishes on tour this year after a strong close to the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

The defending champion may have captured yet another title at Firestone this year if some guy named Tiger Woods hadn't been around.

Bradley posted a three-under 67 on Sunday, rising to second place on the leaderboard. He notched five birdies to two bogeys on the day.

Perhaps Bradley will capture his first win of the year at the PGA Championship. He certainly has good history at the event, finishing tied for third last year after his victory in 2011.
