Pac-Man May Get Eaten
Manny Pacquiao is a beast in the ring. He has literally dismantled opponents from limb to limb. Sometimes in two rounds with a quick ending to a night of high expectations to a long, grueling, old-fashioned beating.
In the video game, Pac-Man eats and chases opponents sending them to their demise. I will outline which fighters just may make Manny a hearty meal.
Sugar Shane Mosley.
Mosley has turned back the hands of time. At 37, he is just as quick as he was at lightweight and is the most powerful puncher at welterweight. He will be able to match Manny punch for punch and speed for speed. Most importantly, Shane does not get knocked out.
Andre Berto.
Berto posses all the tools to succeed in the fight game. He has youth on his side and is a champion. Unlike Manny's two previous opponents, he will be able to get his punches off. Unless Manny wants to regain a welterweight title, this fight will never happen.
Paul Williams.
The Punisher was previously a welterweight and would consider moving back down if it were a mega fight. Manny fits this category.
Williams will flat out dominate Manny. His length and work rate are too much for any fighter more than six inches shorter than him.
Kermit Cintron.
Cintron has been an underachiever in the fights that counted the most. The reason for his place on this list is that he has a monstrous right hand and long arms. If the were to ever occur, Cintron could jab and throw the straight right. If landed on the 5'6" star, the fight is over.
Manny Pacquiao is a superstar and deserves all the praise for his effort. The Pac-Man has won fights that most media outlets and boxing writers had him losing. What sets him apart is not his speed, footwork, left hook, or heart. It's his corner man, Freddie Roach.
Freddie examines the opponents weakness and comes up with the best plan of attack. Manny listens and implements that plan as soon as the bell rings.
Let the bell ring.
