Uruguay vs. France: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview
Uruguay welcome in France for what should an entertaining friendly on Wednesday afternoon.
These two countries met in Le Havre back in August 2012. France dominated much of the match, but it ended in a 0-0 draw.
This should be a much better match as both countries will be looking for strong performances. The road to the 2014 World Cup is starting to get wind down a bit more. Both France and Uruguay still have plenty of work to do if they're to qualify for the world's biggest competition.

When: Wednesday, June 5, at 3 p.m. ET
Where: Estadio Centenario, Montevideo, Uruguay

What's at Stake
This is the first of two friendlies in South America for the French as they travel to Porto Alegre to take on Brazil on Sunday. Then they'll continue their 2014 World Cup qualification campaign. France is sitting second to Spain in Group I at the moment and will be looking to get back to the top, thus avoiding a play-off in order to secure a place in the competition.
Looking strong against Uruguay will help France build some momentum going into the friendly against Brazil and more importantly when qualification matches start back up in September.
For Uruguay, this is the final opportunity to work out the kinks before the Confederations Cup begins on June 16. The Uruguayans will have to hit the ground running as they face off with Spain in their first match.
Like France, World Cup qualifying has been a bit tricky for Uruguay. They're currently sixth in CONMEBOL, meaning they would miss out on the play-off against the Asian qualifier for the final spot in the World Cup.
Missing out on the World Cup would be a massive step back from for a country that finished fourth at the 2010 World Cup and won the 2011 Copa America.
Uruguay Player to Watch: Luis Suarez
Could there really be any Uruguayan player who's going to be more exciting to watch than Luis Suarez?
With Suarez's 10-match suspension for biting Branislav Ivanovic, fans have not been able to watch the striker as much as they may have otherwise. Plus, he'll miss the start of the season next year as well, so you might want to get in all of the Suarez action you can this summer.
There's also the speculation that he could leave Liverpool this summer. The Guardian's Andy Hunter reported it could take £50-plus million in order to pry Suarez out of Anfield.
Suarez is without a doubt one of the best strikers in the world. It's a joy to watch him on the pitch, and fans are always guaranteed to get plenty of entertainment.
With all the transfer speculation, the 26-year-old might be motivated to put in an extra special performance, just to remind any potential suitors exactly why he's worth whatever Liverpool will be asking.
France Player to Watch: Clement Grenier
Only 22 years old, Clement Grenier has earned himself a call-up to the national team following an injury to Samir Nasri. Because of his inexperience with the national team, Grenier will likely start on the bench in favor of Yoann Gourcuff.
If Grenier gets on the pitch, make sure to spotlight him when you're watching the match. He's one of the most talented young midfielders France has to offer. It looks to be only a matter of time before Grenier becomes a fixture in the national team.
Arsene Wenger has been rumored to have some serious interest in the midfielder, so it might not be much longer until he's suiting up for Arsenal or another Premier League club.
If you haven't been watching any Ligue 1 action this season, this could be a nice introduction to Grenier and what he has to offer.
Prediction
Uruguay will benefit both from playing at home and having a little more on the line than France.
Didier Deschamps will be looking to experiment with his side a little more. He'll want to see how Yoann Gourcuff performs after what was a poor Ligue 1 season with Lyon. Then there's guys like Grenier and Olivier Giroud who will want to use this friendly to establish themselves as national-team regulars.
That could lead to some good individual performances but not necessarily the kind of team showing Uruguay should have.
Oscar Tabarez will want to see a strong showing from his team in case there are any positions up for grabs for the Confederations Cup. He'll also have a better idea of who will be the key contributors and have allowed them to play together a little while longer and build some chemistry.
It should be close for much of the match, but Uruguay will get a late goal to finish with a nice two-goal win.
Uruguay 3, France 1
