Roberto Mancini Officially Sacked
It has officially been confirmed by BBC Sport that Roberto Mancini has been sacked as manager of Manchester City.
The news comes as no surprise to anyone who has kept up with the tabloid recently, although the decision to fire the man who has brought Manchester City more (meaningful) silverware that any of other coach in recent years is a baffling one.
After three and a half years at the helm Sheikh Mansour has decided to part ways with his Italian stallion.

The firing will leave assistant manager Brian Kidd in charge of the first team for their remaining two fixtures of the season, before a permanent replacement can be found.
Chances are high that this will come in the form of current Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Malaga have been banned from all European competitions next season, and with a vacant place at a team who have already secured their spot in the 2013-13 Champions League now available, the Chilean will find it hard to turn down. Not to mention the ridiculous wages he is likely to be lured in with.
One cannot help but think this was a rash decision from City's billionaire owner, but with the way modern football is going it is unfortunately an unsurprising one.
Mancini is touted as one of the favorites to take over the soon-to-be available post at AC Milan in his native Italy.
If this move does come to fruition it would see him link up again with former player Mario Balotelli.
For now though, Roberto will have to lick his wounds and try to get over this swift fall from grace. What a difference a year makes.
