Players Championship 2013 Tee Times: Pairings and Predictions for Saturday
Tiger Woods’ fourth victory of the 2013 PGA Tour season is within reach at The Players Championship.
He earned a 2:40 p.m. ET tee time after his second straight five-under outing of the tournament on Friday. Woods trails Sergio Garcia who shot seven-under in Round 2 by one stroke.
World No. 2 Rory McIlroy began The Players Championship hot with a 66 on Thursday, but he finished even on the second day and finds himself five strokes behind the leader. While McIlroy has time to catch Woods and Garcia, Phil Mickelson doesn’t. Lefty, as well as Graeme McDowell amongst others, failed to make the cut.

Most Intriguing Pairing
The two PGA Tour veterans have a history playing alongside one another, one Garcia is hoping doesn't repeat itself. Justin Ray of ESPN summed up that history with a statistic on Twitter.
Garcia will enter Saturday as TPC Sawgrass’ hottest golfer. History would lead one to believe he’ll cool off now that he’s head-to-head with Woods.
In the last eight years, Garcia has only won two PGA Tour events and one was The Players Championship. If there’s any tournament he could hold off Woods in, it’s this one.
Player Most Likely to Shine on Saturday
Tiger Woods
Woods had three wins all of last season. It’s only May and he’s already gunning for his fourth.
He’s only won The Players Championship once, and that was all the way back in 2001. One couldn’t tell the way he’s owned the tournament thus far. He finished Thursday with just a single bogey and sunk and eagle on Friday.
Expect Woods to inch closer to gaining even more of a stranglehold on his world No. 1 ranking on Saturday.
