The Jordan Schafer PlayerCast: April 24th against the Reds
PlayerCast is a new concept that Cory Embler has developed.
He has asked me to join him and this, as far as I know, is the first in this series.
We will each be profiling one to two Barves players each on a daily/"seriesly" basis by posting their batting and fielding statistics for that day/series (TBD).

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
I have selected rookie Jordan Schafer as my player and will gather stats such as hits, walks, stolen bases, strikeouts, productive at-bats (Y/N), and the situation that he finds himself in.
The purpose of these articles will be to determine players' strengths and weaknesses, while improving our own reporting abilities.
So, without further adieu, the first PlayerCast for Jordan Schafer.
At-Bat One
Second inning vs. Edinson Volquez
There are runners on first and second, and there's one out.
Jordan rolled a weak ground ball in front of the batters box and was thrown out at first by Ramon Hernandez.
He successfully moved the runners up, and received a yes (Y) for a productive at-bat.
At-Bat Two
Fourth inning vs. Edinson Volquez
There's a runner on second and two out.
Schafer worked the count to three-two and drew a walk to put runners at first and second with two out.
The next three batters, Ross, Vazquez, and KJ walked to drive in Kotchman and Schafer, putting the Braves out in front 2-1 (Y).
At-Bat Three
Sixth inning vs. Nick Masset
Leading off, in another at-bat where he worked himself into a full count, Schafer walked again.
He was stranded at first after Ross and Vazquez strikeouts and a Kelly Johnson ground out (Y).
At-Bat Four
Seventh inning vs. Daniel Ray Herrera
There are runners on first and second and two out.
Schafer came to the plate in a similar situation, which had faced him in the first.
This time, the same thing happened (a ground out) but with two outs, he failed to do anything with the men on base (N).
Schafer also had three put outs in the game (fourth, sixth, seventh), making no errors or overly-dramatic catchers.
Schafer's final line was: 0-for-2, two BB, one Run (three Y-one N).
He saw a total of 19 pitches (that did not result in either a walk or contact) on his way to a good night in a Braves 4-2 victory over the Reds.
In other stats, the W went to Javier Vazquez, the L to Edinson Volquez, and the S to Mike Gonzalez.
I hope this PlayerCast was helpful in either your player-following or fantasy obsessions, and I look forward to doing more in the future.
