Deportivo La Coruna vs. Real Madrid: Live Stream, Start Time, Preview and More

Mike HoagJun 8, 2018

Real Madrid is seeking its third consecutive La Liga win when it travels to La Coruna to take on Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

Los Blancos’ last loss in La Liga came after star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo scored on his side’s own net, giving the hosting Granada side a narrow 1-0 victory.

But the last-place Turks have been abysmal at best, making Saturday’s match a prime opportunity for Real Madrid to continue to build momentum.

A return to second place by passing Atletico Madrid isn’t a impossibility, but chasing down table leader Barcelona might be at this point. Barca is currently sitting at 65 points, well above the 53 of Atletico and 49 of Madrid.

When: Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. ET

Where: Estadio Municipal de Riazor, A Coruna

Live Stream: BeIN Sport USA

Preview

This match is a tale of two clubs heading in two very different and distinct directions. Deportivo has dropped its last two matches, while Los Blancos have earned three points in both of their last two outings on the pitch. Madrid has also won five of the last six against the Turks.

Deportivo won’t be all that is on the minds of Los Blancos, though, when they take the pitch Saturday evening. The second leg of their Copa Del Rey semifinals matchup against Barcelona awaits the Spanish Giants on Wednesday. That will undoubtedly keep things closer than normal on the pitch between these two clubs, as lessened playing time may be in order for some of their regulars.

Even with their attentions focused elsewhere, Madrid should be able to continue its impressive form on the pitch and come away with another win over Deportivo.

Footballer to Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid

Ronaldo is hot right now and will be a nightmare for the poor defensive side of Deportivo. In his last five matches, the Portuguese forward has found the back of the net eight times. On the flip side, Deportivo has surrendered 54 goals in La Liga competition, the most of any club.

He also pulled off a hat-trick during Los Blancos’ 5-1 drubbing of Deportivo at the Bernabeu on Sep. 30 of last year.

Prediction: Real Madrid 3, Deportivo 1
