Disney World Marathon 2013: Men's and Women's Top Finishers

Adam WellsJun 5, 2018

The most magical place on earth had a very unique feel this weekend, as more than 25,000 people gathered together for the 20th Disney World Marathon that takes participants through all four theme parks.

Unlike a lot of marathons that you see, this one has more of a family-friendly feel to it and is not nearly as intense. Of course, the challenge of running 26.2 miles, regardless of where it is, will be intense.

On the male side, it was Adriano Bastos of Sao Paulo, Brazil, taking the top spot with a time of 2 hours, 21 minutes and 16 seconds. He finished 16 seconds ahead of Fredison Costa of Piedade.

Over on the women's side, there was an American feel at the top of the standings. Renee High from Virginia Beach clocked in with the best time of 2 hours, 48 minutes and 30 seconds. She destroyed the rest of the field, finishing 11 minutes ahead of runner-up Antonia Silva.

The best "hometown" finisher in the marathon was Matt Hensley from Port St. Lucie, Florida. He finished third, just three minutes behind Bastos. He also had the top time of any American in the race, male or female.

But enough talk about where runners finished. Here are the top 10 finishers for both the male and female runners in the 2013 Disney World Marathon.
