Did Cesc Fabregas Really Spit?
Tuesday, the 17th March after the contested Arsenal v Hull match, the manager of Hull city Phil Brown made a strong accusation against Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. Fabregas was accused of spitting at assistant manager Brian Horton.
The question on all of our minds: Is it true? I doubt it very much.
Firstly, we need to look at the character of Cesc Fabregas. He has never given any reason to believe he would ever stoop to this low level. True he has had argument's with Mark Hughes, a fiery character, and there is the pizza gate affair, taking all this into account never before has he been accused of anything as hideous as spitting.

Secondly, we have to look at Phil Brown's character; a man who publicly humiliated his team against Manchester City by dressing them down at half time on the pitch. A man of principles? I doubt it.
Also, Phil Browns scatter-gun approach to his allegations prior to channelling all his anger on Fabregas. He accused the referee and linesman of succumbing to the pressure of the crowd and Arsene Wenger.
Then Arsene Wenger of putting too much pressure on the referee and linesman, a concept that appears alien to him, even though he has been in the Premier League since August
Then he accused Arsene Wenger of refusing to shake his hand when video evidence shows Mr. Brown is nowhere in sight when Wenger leaves his dugout and even shows Wenger looking for his opposing manager. Already truth seems a little scarce in Phil Browns rant.
Finally Phil Brown sets his sights on Fabregas which considering the nature of the alleged incident and how upset he was witnessing this seems a little strange.
Today the FA have got involved and rightly so, Phil Brown should be asked to prove his allegations if it did happen there will be witness's. If these allegations prove unfounded Phil Brown should be punished by the FA.
Every team wins and loses but dignity in both is vital to keep the game all fans know and love.
