The Assassination Attempt: Why Some Wrestling Fans Are Not Into the Surprises!
Welcome to the first installment of The Assassination Attempt, on this article I will tell you why some wrestling fans don't like the surprise.
Those who are not wrestling fans may be wondering what I mean by surprise. What I mean is that we as wrestling fans want to know what happens before it actually does on TV.
Now this is not what everyone likes, I am sure many wrestling fans love to be surprised. Heck even I do sometimes, but most of the time not so much. But really why is that?

Why do I want to know what will happen? It is pretty simple when you think about it. Its that I hate to be surprised by it, I am such a fan that I want to know so bad that I can't wait. I personally want to know if a superstar is going to turn heel or face.
I want to know when a storyline is coming so I can be ready for it. Of course I don't want to know who will win the whole storyline, or if a superstar will win a certain match sometimes.
Personally I liked talking about Christian Cage when he was set to come to the WWE. I loved the fact that he was coming to the WWE. And I didn't mind it when he went to another storyline because he was set to be in another.
I don't mind a surprise, but for me a surprise is not needed. I am already a big fan and just want to see how the storyline goes. I can be surprised at what happens on TV, just I want to know that there is a storyline coming or something like that.
For some who like surprises it is hard to be surprised, especially being on a site like B/R. I may be the worst on here when it comes to giving away things. So those people may be unhappy with me, but are ok with B/R of course.
The difference between some spoilers are the fact that some give away just what is supposed to happen. Others give away every detail of what will happen. Such as the winner and what not.
And example of that SmackDown's spoilers, I want to be surprised by who wins or loses on the show. I mean why know who wins? Storyline possibilities are ok, but telling us who wins goes a bit to far. Otherwise why watch?
But just knowing that John Cena or someone will appear is just cool to know. You may not be a fan, but knowing a popular superstar will go to another brand is cool to know.
I like the fact that we know Christian will go to SmackDown in the draft, same with Triple H heading back to RAW. It is not that I hate all surprises, I just like to know certain things in the world of pro-wrestling.
These certain surprises are ok to know. That is why the WWE is ok with people knowing sometimes. Because popular superstars are going to have fans, meaning information on them will be a hot topic.
Are we as fans that big of fans that we have to know what will happen so much that we can't wait until a certain show?
I think that is true, most die-hard fans like myself want to know what will happen. While the average fan can wait. Is this what everyone is like? Most likely No. But this is true for most cases.
I talk about wrestling with my friends and people on B/R and of course people on my show too. And most of the questions we answer are about what we think will happen or something about what will happen in wrestling.
It is just fact, when you talk wrestling it always comes down to that.
My friends come up to me and say something like "Hey Joe, you hear about Legacy?"
I'll say no, and they will proceed to telling me a spoiler, this happened when Ted Dibiase joined up with Orton and Rhodes a while back. And it was talked about for a while, and then the WWE did it finally.
It is just that we want to know, it becomes a part of our life and it is a must to look on wrestling sites everyday to know more about what will happen.
I don't know about you, but as for me the surprise is not always needed. Of course if the WWE can surprise me, then that is cool too. But I will still be a fan no matter what.
