How 4-Star RB Greg Bryant Adding FSU to Favorites Impacts Auburn, Georgia and SC
Four-star running back Greg Bryant has favorites that include SEC schools Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina, but apparently there's an ACC program that has caught his attention enough to make it onto the list of his top schools.
According to Derek Tyson of ESPN.com, Bryant has added Florida State to the mix:
"As for recruiting, Bryant says South Carolina, Auburn and Georgia stand out, and now there is a new team in the mix for the talented running back.
"
"I like Florida State, Georgia, Auburn and South Carolina," Bryant said after his game. "All of them are just even. I added Florida State. Mark Stoops contacted me and I just want to look at them closer. FSU is in Florida, so that could be a good deal."
If you're a fan of any of these SEC schools Bryant is interested in, the addition of FSU can't be good news.
The biggest thing the SEC schools have to worry about is the fact that the Seminoles are the only home-state team on his list so far. Bryant is from Delray Beach, Florida, so one could only imagine how appealing the thought of playing for Florida State could be.
The appeal factor can only go up when you consider that FSU is currently ranked No. 6 in the AP Top 25 Poll, and many consider the Seminoles to be the favorites to win the ACC and be in the national title picture for years to come.
That's something else that will hinder Georgia, Auburn and South Carolina: their conference.
The SEC is the nation's toughest conference (which is a good thing), but it does make it much harder for each team to win the conference and make a big national splash.
If Bryant chooses either Georgia, Auburn or South Carolina, there is a bigger chance that he will never experience a conference title—especially with Alabama and LSU being as good as they are. The same can't be said of FSU's chances of winning the ACC, as they are fairly high.
All in all, the addition of the Seminoles to Bryant's list really changes things for the likes of Georgia, Auburn and South Carolina.
Florida State just made the odds of the other three schools getting a commit from the 4-star running back a lot smaller.
