Deutsche Bank Championship 2012 Leaderboard: Day 1 Analysis and Highlights
The 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship got underway on Friday. The 2012 edition is the 10th incarnation of the traditional Labor Day tournament played at Boston, and the first round set the scene for an exciting tournament that will conclude on Labor Day.
Korean Seung-Yul Noh went into the clubhouse as the leader after the first day, but there's plenty of time for change at the top as the tournament's second round starts. Tiger Woods is once again in the hunt after posting a 64 on the tournament's first day and will once again be heading into Rounds 3 and 4 with a good shot at winning.

Players to Watch
Ryan Moore
Moore currently sits atop the leaderboard after shooting seven under par in the first round.
Moore has two top-10 finishes to his name this season. He finished tied for fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and tied for eighth at the John Deere Classic. Moore has utilized an accurate driver and consistent putting to lead the field in birdies thus far and only has two bogeys to his name.
If he continues to play this consistently, he'll be tough to dethrone as the tournament goes on.
Tiger Woods
Woods has been playing really lately, especially in the early rounds of tournaments.
Tiger got off to a good start in Round 1 of this tournament. He leads the field in greens in regulation. If he continues to strike the ball well, he could be dangerous as the tournament goes on. Despite shooting seven-under in the first round, Woods can still improve his putting.
He had 28 putts in the first round and was tied for 58th in the field for the category. If Woods can find his touch with the putter, he'll climb the leaderboard quickly and claim his first win since the AT&T National in July.
Rory McIlroy
Anytime the No. 1 player in the world is in the hunt to win a tournament, he's a must-see golfer.
McIlroy had a somewhat disappointing finish (T-24) at The Barclay's last week so a bounce back performance at the Deutsche Bank Championship would be key for him to establish himself as the best in the world. McIlroy is riding a hot putter to a nice collection of birdies thus far.
Whether McIlroy can keep the momentum throughout the weekend will be one of the biggest stories in Boston and he should figure to be in the mix come Labor Day.
