Seahawks vs. Chiefs: Players with the Most to Prove in Preseason Matchup
Week 3 of the 2012 NFL preseason has finally come. It feels like Christmas time for football fans because it's the first time that they get to see their favorite team's starters play for an extended amount of time.
This holds true for the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs, as there are a certain few players that will have a lot to prove come game time on Friday night.
Here's a list of three players who have the most at stake in tonight's game:

Dwayne Bowe, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs' star wideout, Dwayne Bowe, finally singed his franchise tender last week and will return to action tonight against the Seahawks.
Bowe, the leading receiver on the Chiefs last year, elected to holdout this offseason in hopes of receiving the long-term contract that he covets.
If Bowe still hopes to receive a multi-year contract, the journey will start tonight where he can prove that he's dedicated to the success of this team in the long term. That said, he needs to prove that, despite his time off, he will still be in game shape come Opening Day.
You can flip flop either Terrell Owens or Braylon Edwards in this slot because both veteran wide receivers will have something to prove tonight.
But in this instance, I'll focus on Owens because he'll be in the spotlight tonight. Owens always seems to find himself in the spotlight, however, but tonight will be different.
Owens let a touchdown pass go right through his hands like a stick of warm butter last week against the Denver Broncos—a reoccurring problem for him throughout his career.
He'll need to prove that he's capable of holding onto the catchable balls on Friday night, especially with a young Russell Wilson throwing to him.
Matt Flynn, Seattle Seahawks
While many would say that Wilson has the most to prove tonight, I'm going to take the road less traveled and say that all the pressure lies on Flynn tonight.
I still think this job is Flynn's to lose. The Seahawks did not pay him over $20 million to backup a rookie quarterback that they drafted in the third round. And while Wilson will be starting, Flynn will be able to come in at some point in the game and remind everyone that he was brought in to be the starting quarterback.
So, while Wilson has proven that he can excel against the second- and third-string defenses, now Flynn will have his opportunity to do so on Friday night. He needs to make some plays when given the chance, or else Wilson is going to walk off the field as the starting quarterback after the game.
