Prediction
While Padraig Harrington, Nick Watney and Brian Harman are all at the top as of Friday morning, they won’t be on that perch for long.
The top golfers in the world are breathing down their necks, and a number of them should be able to make a run during the second round to position themselves for a Sunday victory.
Tiger Woods has been absolutely dominant in most tournaments this season—with the notable exception of the majors—and has plenty of time to catch up.
Phil Mickelson is looking to redeem his poor post-Masters 2012, and a win here would prove his doubters wrong.
Rory McIlroy is trying to ride the momentum of an epic PGA Championship victory and claim a piece of this lucrative $8 million prize.
All three of them will be duking it out on Sunday, but Tiger will finish in first. He’s still the best golfer in the world and No. 1 in the FedEx Cup rankings. He won’t relinquish that title this weekend.
