Hard Knocks 2012: Ryan Tannehill and More Players to Watch from Episode 3
HBO’s Hard Knocks is one of the rawest, most in-depth looks at NFL training camp possible.
This year, the Miami Dolphins consented to allowing the cameras inside to capture unprecedented action.
Let’s take a look at which players have been stealing the show, for good or bad reasons.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Ryan Tannehill
Before the show aired on Tuesday, it was announced that the rookie from Texas A&M would be the 'Phins starter in 2012.
He beat out Matt Moore and David Garrard for the spot, which proves to many doubters that the eighth overall pick from this year’s draft isn’t just some raw or unskilled project.
There are some lofty expectations upon Tannehill’s shoulders now, and we will see how he handles the pressure in the next episode of the show.
John Jerry
It seems for every nice moment during training camp—Tannehill earning the job as a rookie for example—there is a counterweight and someone depressingly ends up on the way to the unemployment line.
That could not be more evident than with Jerry, the overweight and out-of-shape lineman that was throwing up all over the field.
The 26-year-old was one of the highest-rated guards in the 2010 draft and became a third-round pick by Miami, but they won’t be afraid to cut him if he doesn’t get healthy.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that Reggie Bush became the second overall in the NFL draft. Now he’s a member of coach Joe Philbin’s leadership group and an elder statesman on the Miami roster.
It’s quite a change for a player that completely fell out of favor in New Orleans and was abandoned for a backup safety (Jonathon Amaya) and the right to swap sixth-round picks.
Now Bush and his council, which includes Jake Long and Karlos Dansby, will be helping teammates stay within the good graces of coach Philbin to help avoid another Chad Johnson incident.
